The Group Financial Planning and Analysis Team is at the heart of the analysis that goes to the Exec, and connected to a variety of stakeholders, including regions, strategy, and various teams across finance.

Group FP&A supports development of Diageo's multi-year strategic plan and owns the annual financial planning process. It leads holistic performance management by proactively delivering quality insights and analysis that support decisions to enable delivery of Diageo's annual targets (Financial, Market Share and ESG) and external commitments.
The role reports to the Group FP&A Director and is based in Budapest as part of the Global Strategic Finance and Performance Management team.
There is a wide range of business partners, from analyst level to senior stakeholders, both in business units and at the centre with whom great, effective, supportive and challenging business relationships are essential in order to achieve all objectives and fulfil all the accountabilities of the role.
About the Role
Top Accountabilities
- Support the development of a 3-year strategic cash plan with various analyses and peer benchmark data analysis, via partnering with the wider Group FP&A team.
- Partner closely with Investor Relations / Controller's Group team on analysing and prepare background data of H1 and FY cash performance, and data-check of IR materials and presentations during half closes.
- Support senior stakeholder presentations preparations (such as Cash Council, Diageo's Exec or Board presentations) with accurate cash flow charts and data-checks.
- Assist the team with continuous improvement of templates and data collection processes.
- Provide early visibility of gaps, risks & opportunities and any contingencies are shared and reviewed when addressing gaps, coupled with actions defined leading to the right outcomes.
- Ensure appropriate control environment and controls are in place and operated right first time.
About You
- 3-5 years of finance professional experience
- High attention to detail, accuracy and focus on high customer delivery standards.
- Ability to achieve results by working with other teams around the world.
- Strong analytical and technical skills
- Demonstrated ability of building and sustaining close working relationships and influencing Senior management.
- Excellent business English knowledge
- Good understanding of financial/management reporting PC skills / System knowledge: MS Office (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and group reporting and consolidation tool preferable but not essential (i.e. BFC)
