About the Function
Financial Controlling Tower is part of Controllers Group and provides oversight on financial activities and controls including general accounting, management and external reporting and financial statement analysis. The tower is responsible for the interpretation of financial and statutory data, the coordination and management of financial and statutory reporting, the management of main financial statements delivering solutions that will increase insight and clarity.

About the Role
Accountabilites:
- Prepare statutory financial statements under relevant local GAAP and IFRS principles in quality and on time.
- Prepare the work papers of the financial statements as well as prepare the explanation notes and disclosures.
- Support accuracy and completeness of the reporting in the Statutory financial statements.
- Guarantee the adherence of Diageo Brasil books under IFRS.
- Prepare year-end adjustments prior to the issuance of Financial Statement.
- Prepare a bridge to compare statutory and management reporting, according to internal controls.
- Lead analysis of impairment, Revenue Recognition and previous year adjustment.
- Support key financial controlling processes: month end and period end closes, journal entry preparation, critical metric, and data quality monitoring.
- Continuously supervise the BS accounts for any inconsistencies.
- Prepare payroll reconciliations, among others.
- Adherence to Internal controls.
About You
- University / College degree in Accounting
- 4 years' experience in accounting/financial controlling/statutory and management reporting
- Experience working within an international / multicultural environment
- Good understanding of the financial controlling processes
- Sophisticated analytical skills to be able to see and understand the big picture and deliver message
- Proficient English - Portuguese desirable

- Coordinate attendance of external audits ensure relevant information is provided and support to achieve satisfactory on any audit settlement.
- Proactively seek for process improvement opportunities and advise Line Manager on any non-compliance situation and alternative solutions.
- Keep Process Documentation actualized and accurate.
