Purpose:
To lead standardization, automation and efficient and effective process assigned for LAC. Connect and interact with global end-to-end Finance business processes owners and SMEs across Diageo. Embed Controls into the process and ensure the most effective execution of them in a regional basis. Provide subject matter expertise in specific Finance functions / processes. Enable the deliver Business Insights and Value for the markets we serve through the Service Delivery teams.

Accountabilities:

  • Develop, Lead and ensure execution of Stream agenda, coordination and support of Service Delivery across LAC for assigned Stream. Boost automation, standardization, efficiency and effectiveness for assigned processes.
  • To provide Finance and process expertise in order to establish a regional control framework to drive consistency, quality and efficiency in Finance processes.
  • Define standard elements of a global process /control framework across LAC regions standardising processes to the extent feasible and beneficial.
  • Identify and document global/regional finance business and compliance processes and policies. Owner of LAC DTPs for assigned processes, make sure these are kept actualized. Match systems functionality to enable the development of solutions and correct system configuration.
  • Act as a process owner during the related internal and external audits and ensure accurate audit report is published. Drive and co-ordinate the elimination of audit findings (internal and external) and risks in timely manner in conjunction with respective teams on LAC level.
  • Provide Subject Matter Expert support to the teams focalised in the operation, interact with global teams accordingly.
  • Play an active role in defining and executing a roadmap for process standardisation, automation and in defining the methodology for transitioning of resources to the new target operating model for Finance.
  • Implement continuous process improvement through establishing a LEAN approach to drive effectiveness and efficiency and staying closing linked to external best practices in such areas as automation and robotics.
  • Measure process performance and ensure process metrics are delivered across end-to-end process.
  • Keep Process Documentation actualized and accurate.

Qualifications / experience
  • Qualified Engineer, Economy, business administrator, accountant specific experience and expertise (5 to 7 years)
  • Strong Financial experience at an operational level in general finance
  • Project and Change management experience
  • Experience of designing and implementing global processes
  • Great Governance skills, process improvement and change management skills
  • Flexibility for adopting to change with positive attitude and relevant experience in change management
  • Experience with data management/manipulation and technology/automation implementation is desirable
  • Ability to align multiple stakeholders effectively, strong communication skills
  • English Level C+
  • Excel Advance and nice to have (Power BI, Visual Basic, others)
