The scope
Financial Controlling and Analysis (FC&A) Teams are part of the Controllers Group and provides oversight on financial activities and controls including general accounting, management and external reporting and financial planning and analysis. The teams are responsible for the interpretation of financial and statutory data, the coordination and management of financial and statutory reporting, the management of the P&L and balance sheet delivering solutions that will increase insight and transparency.

The role
The Financial Controlling Junior Manager will support team members with technical and with soft-skill related questions and issues and will be responsible to delegate work within the team, also will coordinate or liaise with people in different functions such as tax, group accounting when it comes to financial controlling, technical accounting matters.
- Support the Financial Controller to understand business operations and issues, ensure the financial implications of these are captured accurately in the financial and statutory statements
- Ensure the information in the legal entity financial & statutory statements accurately and completely reflects our business operations
- Give technical accounting mentorship for different areas within the team and in the region
- Support the decision-making process with different accounting analysis,
- Ensure that the policies and procedures are understood and followed in the team and act as advisor to other GBO group function teams
- Support the internal and external audits
- Perform month end close responsibilities including journal entry preparation (e.g., accounting mentorship and ensuring accurate backup information and data in alignment with PCAOB requirements)
- Ensure that financial & statutory processes are undertaken accurately, efficiently, on time and that the surrounding internal control procedures are strictly adhered to in line with the internal (CARM) and external requirements,
- Support the FAC process, provide analysis for the FAC completion
- Provide the Financial Control team with technical accounting mentorship and act as the technical expert for of the Financial Controlling team
- Understand, interpret, and implement Group Accounting and Reporting requirements; communicate requirements to the rest of the Financial Control team and to relevant teams in the market
About you
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance / Accounting/ Business Administration
- Qualified accountant, Italian GAAP knowledge is required
- 6-7 years' experience in accounting/statutory area
- Proficient English and Italian business language knowledge
- Experience working within an international / multicultural environment
- Outstanding Risk Management (Internal Controls, Managing Risk, Embedding Compliance & Ethics)
- Strong Financial Controlling knowledge (Balance sheet, Group and Local Financial Reporting, Accounting principles)
- Strong analytical skills to be able to see and understand the big picture and deliver high level message, offering alternative solutions for issues
