About the Role
The Process Design and Transformation team in the CG group has been established to drive significant, innovative and break-through change across the Financial Control organization resulting into fit-for-purpose solutions, flawless processes, high-quality standards supported by strong governance and controls - all with the aspiration of crafting a best-in-class function that provides outstanding delivery.
The Global Process Ownership model has been established in F23 to drive E2E process ownership and act as an impetus behind the process transformation in Diageo. GPLs are an integral part of the model, with direct ownership on the L3 and below taxonomy, specific to the CG / FC group.
This is a global role, establishing and governing the FC processes for all markets and functions.
The FC Global Process Lead Head owns end-to-end FC processes (incl. Data, system, controls) across geographic and business unit boundaries. A key leadership position within the Controller's Group, defines the vision for the FC processes, its related data, system control requirements.
The role is responsible for a team of 10 people, with four L4B roles reporting directly to it, with owner spread across process design, operational efficiency and controls assurance & transformation for CG.
Purpose of the role
End-to-end business process owner (including data and controls) across financial control related-functions. Leads the overall strategy, business process design, policies and procedures, improvement and optimization of business processes.
Top Accountabilities
- Define the FC process vision and own global process design and adherence to it through the governance bodies (Process council, Process Board) and embedment reviews as appropriate after change projects.
- Initiate and/or approve changes in global process framework, global process design and global process documents as required, especially after global change projects.
- Provide direction and leadership to the team, specifically on CG operational efficiency, controls effectiveness & transformation, statutory reporting, financial statement processes.
- Provide support both for global and local change projects impacting FC processes, with particular focus on Voyager.
About You
- University / College degree in finance / business
- Deep understanding of Diageo financial processes, with particular focus on financial controlling, reporting and controls
- 10+ years' experience in FC or process governance.
- Excellent communication skills with senior partners
