About the role

Working as an Electrical Craft Technician within the home of Baileys Original Irish Cream in Dublin, you will play a key role in achieving our site's Key Performance Indicators by focusing on the production quality and the efficient operation and maintenance of our site equipment.

This role will require working in shifts to ensure continuous support for the site's operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain all equipment to ensure the production of goods at the highest quality standards upon leaving the area


  • Perform a wide range of electrical tasks, analyse, diagnose, and repair faults to minimise downtime, while adhering to compliance standards such as Health & Safety (H&S), Customs & Excise (C&E), and statutory regulations


  • Respond promptly and effectively to plant emergencies and breakdowns, as well as routine electrical and/or mechanical maintenance tasks


  • Accurately record and promptly report maintenance issues via the SAP maintenance system to facilitate the sharing of best practices


  • Calibrate site equipment


  • Ensure strict compliance with health and safety regulations, while also monitoring other Key Performance Indicators and targets


Health and safety compliance is key, and you'll be at the forefront of making sure this is monitored alongside ensuring both site and personal KPI's are achieved.

About You

Are you a time served electrician with a background in electrical maintenance and have a passion for delivering high standards? Are you able to react quickly to unexpected problems and make fast paced decisions? If so, then this may be just the role for you!

To be successful in this role, we're looking for someone who has a recognised National Electrical Craft Certificate. Shown experience in a production environment preferably within the FMCG/food and beverage industry however not essential.

Bringing with you a proven understanding and experience of electrical maintenance, continuous improvement and the ability to meet goals are qualities that will set you up for success.

Key skills and experience:

  • Applying diagnostic and problem-solving skills to a production environment, including conducting root cause analysis of technical and process-related issues


  • Understand and work with Instrumentation, PLC, and SCADA systems


  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance techniques


  • Read and interpret electrical drawings, process, and instrumentation diagrams


  • Experience work with Profibus DP/PA, ASi bus systems and utilising SAP software for maintenance and process management
