About the Role:
The Director eCommerce Content & Operations will drive and lead Diageo's digital content strategy, off-platform media, and supporting technologies that drive growth and share of across the US Spirits portfolio. This role is pivotal in shaping the future of our B2C and B2B eCommerce channels, leading the content strategy behind our activations on UberEats, Instacart, DoorDash, Walmart, Total Wine & More, SGWS Proof, and BreakthruNow, as well as off-platform media campaigns that drive traffic to those partners.

As a key leader in our organization, you will lead all aspects of the entire ecosystem of eCommerce product content, syndication, ratings & reviews, shoppable off-platform media (paid social, programmatic), eComm marketing content, and a content studio that fuels commercial success. You will drive cross-functional collaboration across internal teams and external partners to ensure seamless integration of content and commerce strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Leadership and Cross-Functional Influence
  • Lead a 9-person team (6 FTEs, 3 contractors) across content, media, and operations
  • Partner with internal teams, including eComm Strategy & Partnerships, B2B eComm, Global d-Comm, Trade Marketing, Shopper Marketing, and Finance
  • Build strong relationships across agencies, syndication platforms, and retail partners to optimize execution
  • Budget oversight

Omnichannel Integration & Innovation
  • Champion digital-first activations that connect online and in-store shopping experiences
  • Develop AI-driven content optimization and search-enhanced product visibility
  • Stay ahead of omnichannel marketing trends and emerging technologies

Digital Shelf & eComm Marketing Content
  • Lead all aspects of product catalog across 900+ skus and syndication of content to 25 customers/partners
  • Strategy and delivery of eComm marketing content across all key partners
  • Manage creative agency and syndication partner relationships to optimize efficiency and scale


Off-Platform Conversion Media
  • Leverage a combination of shoppable technologies and shopper data to drive traffic to platforms and sales online, creating a cohesive shopper experience and driving demand outside of the store

Content Studio
  • Leadership over Customer Marketing Content Studio, adapting brand and shopper content to be fit-for-purpose for field sales and Trade Marketing utilization


Experience / skills required:

Key Qualifications
  • 15-20 years of experience in eComm content, digital media, or shopper marketing within CPG, retail, or agency environments
  • Strong background in digital shelf strategy, content syndication, and commerce media
  • Proven leadership experience managing teams and agencies
  • Expertise in paid social, programmatic, and retail media
  • Knowledge of Salsify, syndication tools, and eCommerce merchandising best practices
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills
  • Experience managing or working with in-house creative teams a plus
