Purpose of Role

This role will set out to align our customer marketing strategy and implementation with our business ambition, to fuel category growth and unlock the TRIPLE WIN as best in class No.1 partners. In this role, you will take care of the Customer Marketing relationship and planning and execution within with our top 2 customers.

Top Accountabilities

  • Own the ‘end-to-end' customer marketing relationship with their specific customers and their internal partners. They will strategically work to develop and deliver outstanding omni-channel plans for category growth across both LAD & Spirits. The role will support the F26 ambition of undisputed leader in spirits and LAD.
  • Focus on nurturing the relationship at HO level with our top 2 customers to ensure that Diageo is seen a key strategic and valuable supplier/partner within their wider team.
  • Deliver a Triple Win mentality, with a deep understanding of P&L, customer performance and development opportunities that work for both Diageo, the Customer and Shoppers.
  • Plan innovative and pioneering customer/shopper focused solutions suitable for both physical store and on-line channels, connecting the dots at every touchpoint.
  • Regularly visit stores at local level to observe and review executions in situ, competitor activity and best-in-class activations across other categories. This "eyes and ears" approach will allow this person to more effectively liaise with their customers and key internal and support partners to drive continuous improvement and learning.
  • The role requires strong ongoing Measurement and Effectiveness (M&E), of our customer executions every quarter for improved return on investment, and facilitate decision making at pace and aligned with customer priorities and timelines.
  • Where there are customer marketing/category projects impacting their customers, this role requires the person to partner with the project lead.

About You
  • Previous experience in a brand/shopper/D.Comm or customer marketing role.
  • Experience building and leading successful end-to-end omni-channel customer campaigns
  • D.Comm experience in previous roles
  • Strong commercial skills and analytics capability (Inc Kantar/Nielsen)
  • Strong knowledge of the IOI retail landscape and key players that operate within
  • Proven ability to turn insights to action.
  • Strong relationship building expertise (bringing partners on the journey)
  • Solutions driven mentality
  • Presentation skills and "story telling"
