The CP&A Traditional Trade Executive supports the Head Of CMO on the execution of the activation calendar and commercial plan, ensuring its completion within the Cycle Planning and Briefing process and supports evaluation/learning back into the most important subchannel of the domestic business in terms of NSV and volume.

The CP&A Traditional Trade Executive supports the Head of CMO in delivering Field Sales, Account Management and Distributors Teams the tools and support materials to drive brilliant execution within the channel/customers, and in setting channel specific brand and category execution guidelines and standards. The role also tracks and evaluates channel in-store execution against well-defined scorecard metrics (distribution, visibility, share of shelf...), ensuring we deliver on time every time to our customers. Manages the most relevant channel in terms of NSV and Volume, while numbers of customers and regions.

  • Supports Head of CMO in planning and executing the commercial/activity calendar ensuring we have effective promotions and a winning mix of brand & category activity to drive business performance within customers/channel and that all deliverables are OTIF.
  • Supports CP&A Manager on leading a transformational change focused on delivering flawless planning and execution through an effective cycle planning & briefing process.
  • Uses understanding of the channels/customers making decisions on which levers to pull in order to drive growth, while also developing activity plans using M&E from previous year's activities in order to deliver an improved ROI.
  • Tracks channel in-store execution compliance of cycle activity plans and promotional plans (Brands and category plans) against well-defined Execution Scorecard metrics (distribution, visibility, share of shelf, Scale...)
  • Owns channel's/customers' activity review meetings with clarity on risks and opportunities on activity execution that could improve performance and drive sales forecast accuracy
  • Tracks A&P and trade spend highlighting its evolution to CP&A Manager and is responsible for preparing activities Pre and Post M&E
  • Coordinates special packs and creates/executes in-store/outlet visibility solutions and support materials to drive brilliant execution in the PoS, focusing on channel needs and execution guidelines;
  • Coordinates the overall execution agenda of the channels/customers balancing the short term needs with a mid-term perspective and a disciplined project management approach
  • Performs regular trade visits to identify opportunities and provide solutions to drive incremental sales.
  • Ensures full compliance with CARM, Diageo Code of Conduct and DMC.


Leadership responsabilities:
  • The role reports to the Perú Head of CMO.
  • The role does not have direct reports, but needs to work closely and be able to influence and build relationships with distributor partners, external agencies and Diageo internal & external stake holders
