Diageo Corporate has a cost base of £1bn that is spread across different corporate functions, locations and accounting systems.
Efficient use of this spend requires information to be readily available to many individuals in a variety of format as well as effective management and control of the overall financial control environment.

Financial support is provided to a variety of Business Support teams and working closely with them is vital in order to ensure that the greatest value is delivered to the Group in respect of Corporate costs.
The role
- Responsible for the global cost management of share-based compensations offered to Diageo senior executives, also in charge of the end-to-end management of these share costs, including calculation, central bookkeeping, market recharges, budget planning and management
- Lead the share-based compensation related operational accounting and reporting activities for the group share trusts and Diageo plc;
- Closely work together with partners and other departments in respect of share-based compensation on an ongoing basis;
- Operationally handle the share-based compensation related recharge to markets and global functions;
- Run the share-based payment related calculations, bookkeeping and reporting of the management units;
- Act as a key person in running share trusts related finance queries;
- Support entity level P&L reporting, provide entity-based analysis to management and internal / external auditors for group share trusts;
- Ensure own area of responsibility receives a satisfactory internal controls and audit rating;
- Own the balance sheet controls and drive quality GL reconciliations
This role has no direct reports but the person will coordinate the global cost management of share-based compensations offered to Diageo senior executives. The role is closely working together with the reward team based in the UK, with third party service providers and with market contacts due to recharges on a regular basis, which makes this role operating as a global function.
About you
- Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Finance / Accounting / Business administration
- 3+ years of proven experience in financial controlling / reporting / accounting preferably in a multinational environment
- Strong accounting knowledge
- Good communication skills in negotiation, influence, and expectation management
- Proficient in financial systems and advanced Excel for complex data analysis
- Solid understanding of SAP or similar ERP systems
- Excellent analytical skills with a dedication to accuracy
- Ability to balance multiple business partners
- Self-driven and capable of working independently
- Persistent and solution-focused, with the ability to dive deep into issues until resolve
- Proficient in English
