Context and Scope:

Reporting into the Commercial Excellence Director, the role of the Performance Manager, Luxury Portfolio will lead communicationa and advancement of Diageo's Luxury performance in Canada!

Purpose of Role:

  • Performance Manager, Luxury Portfolio will lead the building the annual plan, and executional tactics for the Luxury Portfolio in conjunction with the Marketing Team.
  • This role is wired throughout the Diageo and Breakthru Beverage organizations to ensure that the Luxury portfolio plans are clear and strong Key Performance Indicators are built and tracked for success.

Key Outputs and Results:
  • Collaborates on MPA's & Key Performance Indicators development, working with Commercial Performance Manager & Breakthru United Division Luxury lead.
  • Works closely with Customer Marketing (and Breakthru United Division Trade Development) to ensure Activation Tools are ordered, available, and used for applicable Luxury programming in both Retail and On-Trade channels.
  • Handles the Performance Reporting of Luxury Portfolio, working closely with the Growth Insights Team, to publish updates by Brand, Variants, Regions, and Channels.
  • Liaises with key partners (Brand, Finance, RGM, Commercial Director, Regions) to finalize Scotch & Tequila Allocations by province, embedding the targets into reports which will closely monitor sell-through and facilitate
    re-distribution discussions, if required.
  • Communicates regularly with Regional Performance Directors and On-Trade Director to ensure alignment and accountability of Luxury Portfolio commercial targets. This includes contributing to the development of regional forecasts for the Luxury Portfolio within the BPM/E2E planning process.
  • Supports both Customer Marketing and Regional Sales Teams to develop materials/messaging for Quarterly Sales Meetings with Breakthru United Division.
  • Works closely with BBG Luxury Manager and Diageo Marketing Teams, ensures product availability for events which require purchase via LCB accounts.


Qualifications and Experience Required:
  • An experienced business leader with a proven track record of delivering results over time
  • Experience leading teams both directly and indirectly in service of delivering aligned growth strategy and plans
  • Strong commercial and trade marketing capabilities and experience working with multiple partners throughout the value chain
  • Must have strong analytical, influencing, organizational, computer and interpersonal skills
  • Highly skilled in communications and influencing broad teams
  • Strong financial capability (can understand a complex P&L in depth) and understanding of market share levers
  • Knowledge of the beverage alcohol industry and experience in a retail sales environment is a distinct advantage
