About the role:
This unique role provides the opportunity to lead the commercial integration of recently acquired brands. The ideal candidate will be able to manage communication with performance management teams and distributors to ensure optimal execution in trade. The candidate will ensure demand and supply alignment, to support consistent inventory during the early months of integration. Lastly, this role will develop goals for execution linking all commercial activities with marketing support to build brand awareness, trial, and excitement.
Role Responsibilities:
Core Role Objectives:
Commercial / Distributor Management: Ensure smooth transition of acquired brands to Diageo RTM.
Execution: Launch brand with local teams & distributors driving depletions and overall retail execution. Develop execution goals by channel and account type. Identify target events and moments for brand participation.
Selling Materials: Identify the tools needed for execution, POS, selling tools, sampling mechanics etc. and ensure their compliance.
Forecasting: Build top-down depletion and shipment forecasts by market based on sales phasing and business case.
Inventory Management: Work closely with supply to ensure that the demand forecast is met & amend allocations as required.
Cross Functional Communication: Liaise with Marketing to ensure optimal levels of local A&P spend, creating a feedback loop on key growth drivers.
Experience / skills required:
Qualifications:
• Significant commercial experience, preferably with cross-functional assignments, strong analytical and technical skills
• Proven track record of being able to manage and influence a wide array of stakeholders
• Superior communication skills; oral, written, and electronic communication, effectively flexing styles to manage deliverables through a diverse group of stakeholders
• Must be process oriented and understand and apply interdependencies with other functions
• Comfort with analyzing and interpreting data in order to turn insights into action.
• Highly organized; excellent influencer; exhibits independence/needs little supervision; quick learner; and exhibits resiliency and tenacity in the face of challenge
• Moves with considerable pace, inspired to act and possesses an insatiable appetite for continuous improvement
