Key Responsibilities
Data Operations
- Data Collection & Transformation: Collect, transform, map relationships, and document large volumes of data from ERP, CRM, and external partners (e.g., distributors, market data providers).
- Advanced Data Workflows: Leverage Power Query, Power BI, Tableau Prep, Excel, and other tools to shape and uphold data governance standards.

- Extraction & Load Processes: Own data extraction and loading for weekly performance reporting from vendors such as Vermont Information Processing (VIP), SAP, and KeHE Connect.
Performance Reporting
- KPI Analysis: Conduct analysis on shipments in and out of traditional and non-traditional distributors, tracking critical metrics like velocity, accounts sold, and channel mix.
- Marketing & Trade Partnerships: Collaborate with trade and brand marketing teams to design measurement frameworks for ROAS analysis and build campaign scorecards that support buyer reviews.
- Commercial Recommendations: Provide actionable insights on product mix, pricing, channel strategies, and the effectiveness of above-the-line (ATL) and below-the-line (BTL) marketing spend.
Forecasting & Scenario Planning
- Supply & Financial Forecasting: Assist in forecasting processes related to supply chain and financial operations, including stock on hand, depletion-to-shipment ratios, A&P spend, and cost-per-case analysis.
- Data Modeling: Support modeling and development of tools used to close gap-to-goal on commercial/KPI targets, plan and track trade spend, manage incentives/discounts, and maintain sufficient inventory.
- Strategic Alignment: Continuously refine forecasts to align with DNAB's growth objectives and adapt to the rapidly evolving non-alcoholic category.
Commercial Output
- Evergreen & Ad Hoc Reporting: Develop ongoing reporting solutions and respond to ad hoc requests, building concise case studies and presentations (e.g., PowerPoint decks) to communicate findings across various levels of the organization.
- Commercially minded Collaboration: Apply a strong understanding of the three-tier system to help Sales teams optimize route-to-market strategies. Provide clear, actionable recommendations in alignment with commercial objectives.
Category Intelligence
- Trend Monitoring: Leverage Diageo's selling and shopper resources to stay ahead of emerging trends, shopper behavior and preferences related to non-alcoholic RTDs and new-to-world brands.
- Nielsen Platforms: Leverage Nielsen data to track share and positioning across key geographies and retailers; deploy for analysis of shopper campaigns during key periods such as "dry January" and highlight potential shifts in the marketplace.
Experience / skills required:
- 3+ years in a commercial, data analyst or similar role with a technical focus, preferably in beverage alcohol, CPG, or a related industry.
- Advanced proficiency in data preparation is essential; practical experience with forecasting methods, scenario planning and working with a P&L is a plus.
- Experience with the spirits industry and the three-tier system is preferred; familiarity with RTDs, or new-to-world brands is beneficial.
