Role Responsibilities:

Context / Scope:
Global Business operations Organization uses Diageo's Operating Model by supporting standard processes, organization and systems with effective and efficient shared services across Diageo. The E2EC tower operations is based around 5 global locations, Budapest, Bogota, Manila, Bangalore and Gurgaon. Each of these centres has a Service Delivery team focused on delivering the E2EC Service to specific countries.
The Governance organisation are the Process Owners for Order To Cash across Diageo, for both GBO and non- GBO serviced SAP Markets. They are accountable for the design of the process, and must ensure it is efficient, effective and compliant at all times.
The Governance of the End-to-End process is split across three internal Teams with the Tower.
• A Control Team, who are accountable for the design and implementation of OTC controls and holding Service Delivery teams to account for control execution. This team liaises closely with Core Governance SMEs and the Integrations team to ensure all changes are compliant and integrated into CARM framework. It is the responsibility of the controls team to ensure there is an appropriate Controls Culture through the Tower. Reports to the Governance Lead.
• A Core Governance Team, a team of guides who provide market insight, process improvement, supporting the future design of the Commercial Experience Service Lines. As the Diageo Process Owner, this team oleads themetrics that govern the process globally.
• An Integration Team, the first point of contact for Commercial Experience process & integration changes. This team also contains the BA pool of rechargeable project resources.
This role is within the Controls Team and report into the Commercial Experience Controls Manager.

Dimensions
The Controls team is made up of controls and access management guides that are accountable for the effective risk management and effective ccontrol'sdesign across all Commercial Experience processes, global and Local. Additionally, this team provides support with process and control insights and improvements, issue resolution, capability build.

Top 3-5 Accountabilities:

Accountable for the appropriate mapping and design of all controls (existing and new) within Commercial Experience, ensuring they are fit for purpose, documented, approved, understood, and embedded. Effective and timely issue resolution for identified control gaps. Drive risk mindset, controls capability and ownership within Service delivery teams ensuring controls culture is well embedded and alive within the organization. Maintain various control register and matrixes as directed by the Control manager (e.g. Risk and mitigation registers, authorisation matrix, control gap tracker). Develop and maintain a Control Dashboard that provides an "at a glance "control health check, that can be used by managers and leads at all levels of the organisation. Effective change managment and constantly strive to identify and implement ways to improve controls. Liaise with Core Governance team process experts to review process as direct by the Controls Manager, to assess and rate risks, Design appropriate mitigating controls. Effective stakeholder management and leadership over all tower audit and internal controls review activities including CARM, GAR, PwC, statutory audits, and CCM.

Experience / skills required:
  • 10+ years' experience in Controls management, risk management and audit role
  • Experience in Order to Cash or related commercial area in SSC and/or FMCG environment preferred.
  • Track record of risk identification and mitigation of commercial processes with a global FMCG environment.
  • Ability to bring a controls agenda to life in a pragmatic way in a commercial environment.
  • An individual who has the ability to influence across a broad network of the organization, with the ability to effect change at all levels of the organisation and within multiple markets.
  • Track record of Change and Project Management to support the delivery of process, organisational and system change.
  • Strong business partnering skills with desire to make a difference beyond their own team.
  • Proven ability to align multiple stakeholders and engage the organisation effectively.
  • Can Balance Global vs Local commercial needs to ensure a good level of pragmatism in all day-to-day interactions but can also draw a line in the sand when appropriate.
  • Ability to drive performance through others, supporting colleagues in pursuit of the team goal and ensuring focus on deliverables.

  • Lack of insight and commercial instinct
  • Inability to strike the right balance to align global and local requirements.
  • Inability to be able to jump in and out of detail or live with ambiguity.
