Due to a recent internal move, we are looking to find a category leader to build the future of category transformation at Diageo. the Category Transformation Manager is responsible for delivering best in class category leadership collaboration with customers, focused on building category strategy that delivers growth for the category and supports Diageo's market share, and turning them into actionable plans that are implemented with their customer to deliver the triple win. This role reports into the Head of Commercial Excellence - Premix and works within our dedicated Premix Transformation team, working alongside insights, innovation and shopper teams focused on delivering groundbreaking growth for this critical category in Australia.

Where Will You Grow In This Role?

  • Develop the Premix Category Growth strategy for the XXX category, leading strategy across both on and off premise channels to drive overall category growth and business performance;
  • Lead a cross functional and cross discipline team through the annual category development process, including continuous refinement of the strategy to deliver the joint category vision and strategic initiatives with key strategic customer groups;
  • Lead as the key business partner internally with customer teams and externally with customers on range reviews and leading category-based initiatives to drive delivery and leading strategic retail transformation;and
  • Be a part of an integral team to drive business transformation working alongside premix specialists to develop strong pipeline of category changing innovation and ensure new launches are supported end to end (product, category, retail solutions).


What You Will Bring To The Table?
  • Well established experience within category and proven track record of driving performance and results to achieve category growth.
  • Prior experience working in a sales/retail or marketing role would be an added advantage.
  • Prior knowledge and expertise with working tools such as Scan/Panel Data and space planning tools and high proficiency in Microsoft office
  • Strong analytical skillsets and proficient with numbers to leverage and utilize insights to drive category growth.
  • Prior experience working in a heavily matrix organization with strong stakeholder management skills across all levels and functions.
