This role is responsible for the strategic sourcing of Closures and Caps Category and optimizing the spend pertaining to the category. The role requires an individual to have strong commercial acumen.

The role would involve developing category strategy, working on supplier relationship management and ensure customer satisfaction. The individual is required to work closely with Brand, Make, SNOP , Quality (per standards), Technical, Commercial and support renovation/ innovation initiatives across the organization. The spend the incumbent would be managing is around INR 350 Cr.

1. Adhere to the AOP, Quarterly forecast to the Business and drive Productivity

• Oversee and streamline supplies across various categories

• Frame & implement cost containment strategies for closures.
• Provide cost inputs for AOP as well as define the Category Strategy.
• Secure long term contracting & supply security for closures.
• Drive productivity initiatives specific to category closures
• To drive Sustainability agenda of the Closures Category

2. Ensure Optimal Delivery against Service Requirements

• Manage closures category for supply across 37 USL units.
• Oversee the inventory/stock status for key relevant spend category/item(s)
• Analyse structured feedback received from key internal customers/ stakeholders with respect to the inventory condition and OTIF Requirements

3.Ensure to meet Customer Quality expectations
• Oversee quality status as per internal customer requirements
• Execute the customer feedback received from the internal and external stakeholders on customer satisfaction for closure of assets and materials
• Collaborate with internal customers & external suppliers to bring to drive Productivity.

4.Stakeholder Management

• Work closely with all the internal customer teams and ensure timely supply
• Closely work with BCC and support Brand and Marketing team for Innovation and Renovation.
• Ensure quality requirements are met and regulatory aspects & changes thereof are implemented without disruption of supplies ensuring minimal write-offs etc.
• Work closely with internal stakeholders like marketing & commercial for activities like promotions, UTC, brand protection initiatives as well as with units for sourcing

5.New Vendor & Supplier Development

• Develop and support the process of empanelling new vendors based on their capability, process orientation and infrastructure alongside the commercial consideration
• Review Supplier performance quarterly(SPM)
• Support the Quality & BCC teams to resolve the challenges on the incoming and existing materials and initiate supplier visits for corrective actions and way forward for New Suppliers
• Act as a single point off contact for pan-India requirement planning with large global vendors keeping in mind the aggregate nature of security closures
