About the Role

The Category Development Manager at Diageo Moet Hennessy (Thailand) is key position to unlock the business growth potential within our diverse product categories by analysing market and sales data based on consumer & shopper insights from multiple sources. This role identifies strategic opportunities and challenges within the category through developing category & market share projection, supports the introduction of new product developments (NPDs) and commercial launches, crafts compelling selling stories based on market & shopper insights. This position is crucial in driving sales and distribution & merchandising strategies across channels, ensuring Diageo's portfolio to achieve its full market share potential and contribute significantly to the company's growth strategy.

Responsibilities
  • Lead market share analysis, projection, and opportunity identification. Develop weekly and monthly market share reports. Provide actionable insights and recommendations based on category analysis to contribute to market share growth.
  • Support NPD launches and commercial strategy development. Develop product distribution strategies by channel.
  • Create and propose recommended planograms for MT and TT channels. Ensure planogram adoption and increase share of shelf.
  • Collaborate with research agencies (NielsenIQ, HATCH C-Smart, etc.). Utilize data analysis tools to derive actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Engage with internal stakeholders (Leadership, Sales, Marketing, Finance) and external partners (retailers, research agencies). Build strong relationships and influence category strategies.
  • Contribute to market share growth by providing actionable insights and recommendations. Propose budget decisions for shopper data and research.


About You
  • Bachelor's degree or Master's Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in category management, trade marketing, sales, or a related role, preferably in the FMCG or alcohol beverage industry.
  • Strong data analytical skills with proficiency in handling data from sources such as NielsenIQ, HATCH, and C-Smart.
  • In-depth knowledge of category management principles and retail channel dynamics.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of creating compelling selling stories and strategic recommendations.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external partners to drive category development initiatives.
  • Mathematical aptitude and a passion for data analysis.
  • Flexibility and willingness to work extended hours due to market data release timelines.
