Purpose of the Role:

Within Supply Chain this translates into goals that aim to deliver world class service at best cost and cash, driving value to enable new growth opportunities.

This role is responsible for E2E Business planning in Europe Markets. You will support high quality Service, own strategic interventions to inventory parameters, SLOBs, portfolio segmentation, and order rules. You will look for best service at affordable cost and cash to deliver NSV and GM expected by the company for this Category. The Business planner supports the delivery of the European Spirits operating strategy to deliver business objectives short term (18 month) and long term (10/20 years)

Main accountabilities:

End-to-End Business Planning:
  • Oversee E2E business planning for Europe Markets to ensure alignment with company goals.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive business plans that integrate various market factors.

Strategic Inventory Management:
  • Own and drive strategic interventions related to inventory parameters.
  • Analyse inventory data to identify inefficiencies and implement improvements.

SLOBs Management:
  • Manage Slow Moving and Obsolete Inventory and provide necessary analysis for the markets.
  • Develop strategies to minimize SLOBs impact on overall inventory health.

Portfolio Segmentation:
  • Implement portfolio segmentation strategies to optimize product mix.
  • Review and adjust portfolio segments based on market inputs and performance data.

Operating Strategy Support:
  • Support the delivery of the European operating strategy in line with short-term (18 months) and long-term (10/20 years) business objectives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure cohesive strategy execution.

The Market planning team is responsible for overall ownership of volume for global shipment, production, and inventory from our Global Brands supply sites in Europe. We are a consistent face to all the Diageo markets and drive end-to-end value across the network. You will work with a range of stakeholders whilst being responsive and flexible in your approach.

Skills and Experience Required:
  • Several years of supply chain management experience with strong Supply Planning and project management skills.
  • Several years' experience in supply planning FMCG/Retail/manufacturing company would be desirable.
  • Demonstrable ability to engage and align stakeholders behind plans, win support for implementing change with Europe Planning and Market Teams.
  • Degree or equivalent experience in a supply chain related subject.
  • Ability to lead in environments where influence is more important than formal authority.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of end to end supply chain and Customer collaboration.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written combined with the ability to engage effectively at all levels in the organisation and with virtual teams.
  • Experience in Tools and platforms for Supply planning.
  • Demonstrable ability to get results through remote network of people.
  • Numerate and ability to apply KPI's to drive performance management at all levels, especially in demand forecasting field.
