About the role
Diageo is a leading premium drinks company whose success is built by the marketing & sales of its spirits, Packaged Beer, RTD & draught brands. It is a consumer led organisation with an industry leading marketing department of which you could be a part of!
We are looking for a brilliant Assistant Brand Manager to nurture and support one of our biggest brands - Johnnie Walker. This is a fantastic opportunity to build your knowledge in a world leading company within the liquor industry and offers great career development possibilities.
This role will allow you to use your creative and individual expertise to generate world-class lifestyle marketing that will deeply engage consumers and grow unassailable brand health, leaving a legacy for those who follow.
So, what does this role look like for you?
- You'll assist the delivery of best-in-class yearly Marketing Business Plans (MBP) with our agency partners to create amazing creative ideas and activations.
- Lead the execution of the brand plans through the business across all functions and liaise with the GBT to maximise efficiencies.
- You will work closely with Senior leaders in our Innovation Team to ensure alignment with global brand guidelines and internal growth plans.
- Closely monitor brand performance monthly, working with commercial teams to make interventions where required.
- You'll lead budget management for all A&P.
- Effectively manage strategic agency relationships.
- Set standards of execution excellence for Diageo brands, agencies & our supply teams, & hold them accountable.

So, what about you?
- We want you to love our brands as much as we do, so it is critical that you lead with high levels of emotional energy and impact to drive the brand's agenda within the business.
- A bachelor's degree in business/marketing would be beneficial!
- Experience in brand management in FMCG or alcohol industry is desired
- Knowledge of all elements of the marketing mix is very key (particularly social and CRM) & have a proven ability in generating game-changing strategies.
- You'll have strong capability of managing senior relationships cross functionally and be confident influencing people at all levels of the organization.
