About you:
  • We are looking for a visionary leader with hard and soft skills that let them to inspire and coach a high performer team in areas like maintenance, project management, data analyst, automation process, and facilities. This person will be responsible for creating a motivated team, which consistently increases their knowledge, skills, and ability, as well as doing team work to design our future facilities.
  • The Asset Care & Engineering Manager is responsible for ensuring the effective implementation of Early Equipment Management (EEM), Asset Care, and Utilities while maintaining a high focus on safety, reliability, and sustainability. This role provides experienced guidance on Autonomous Maintenance (AM) practices, predictive maintenance strategies, and best-in-class maintenance methodologies to support process areas. Additionally, the manager will drive the sustainable sourcing of electrical and thermal energy while supervising a high-performance team and ensuring strong contractor management.

About the role:

1. Equipment & Asset Reliability

Lead the Early Equipment Management (EEM) strategy to ensure new equipment is designed for optimal performance, maintainability, and reliability.

Implement and be responsible for Asset Care programs, ensuring alignment with the best industry practices.

Drive predictive and preventive maintenance strategies to enhance equipment lifespan and reduce downtime.

Develop and supervise Key Performance Indicators for asset health and reliability.
2. Autonomous & Preventive Maintenance Leadership

Support production teams in embedding Autonomous Maintenance (AM) practices, ensuring operators are trained to conduct basic maintenance tasks.

Develop and implement training programs to build technical capabilities within the team.

Partner with operations to optimize maintenance schedules, reducing unplanned downtime.
3. Utilities & Sustainable Energy Management

Identify and implement sustainable energy sources (electrical and thermal) to optimize efficiency and minimize environmental impact.

Ensure utilities (compressed air, steam, cooling, and power systems) operate at optimal efficiency and reliability.

Develop initiatives to reduce energy consumption and carbon footprint, aligning with DIAGEO's sustainability goals.
4. Team Leadership & Contractor Performance Management

Build and develop a high-performance maintenance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Set clear expectations, provide mentorship, and drive accountability for results.

Oversee contractor performance, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and reliability standards.

Establish and maintain strong vendor relationships to ensure timely service and support.
5. Safety & Compliance

Drive a safety-first culture, ensuring all maintenance activities align with DIAGEO's safety policies and industry regulations.

Ensure all maintenance activities are performed in compliance with environmental, health, and safety (EHS) standards.

Lead risk assessments and root cause analysis (RCA) for equipment failures and safety incidents.

Skills, experience, and qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related field).
  • Shown +5 years of experience in maintenance, reliability, or asset care leadership roles within manufacturing, food & beverage, or similar industries.
  • Advance English level and native Spanish is needed.
  • Solid understanding of predictive maintenance, TPM (Total Productive Maintenance), and reliability-centered maintenance (RCM).
  • Experience with energy efficiency projects and sustainable energy sourcing.
  • Proven track record to lead teams and run external contractors.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaborator leadership skills.

Desirable/developed in role:
  • Certification in Reliability Engineering (CMRP, CRE) or Maintenance Management.
  • Experience in a tequila, spirits, or food and beverage manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of SAP, CMMS, or other maintenance management systems.
