About the Role

The Asset Care department within Maturation is a team of approximately forty, including Electrical and Mechanical trades, planners, stores, improvement leads and other Business Leaders. You will work with the Operations Manager and you will manage a team of electrical engineers. The Asset Care team is based at Blackgrange in Alloa but also covers other sites across the central belt of Scotland.

In this role you will have a proactive purpose to lead and manage efficiently, economically and safely on all aspects of the maintenance of the Electrical Assets across a number of Diageo Whisky Maturation Sites.

The role involves a high level of governance and compliance with legislation in relation to CoMAH in particular.

You will have responsibility for ensuring that controls are in place and maintained around Process Safety. You will take responsibility for the delivery of improved asset reliability and best in class resource utilisation through planning and execution of maintenance tasks. And you will positively contribute to an elite outlook and actively support the development and successful implementation of strategies to achieve this aim.

The role requires to travel to other maturation sites within central belt as needed and the requirement to cover on-call duty manager.

About You
  • In order to thrive in this role you will have excellent interpersonal and leadership skills and ability to communicate to all levels across the organisation.
  • You will have significant hands on maintenance experience that has given you a working knowledge of HV/LV systems and control systems.
  • You should have experience of CoMAH and of Process Safety and of dealing with external bodies such as HSE and SEPA.
  • You will be an analytical thinker who is able to work in three dimensions of past, present and future. And you will be an exceptional coach who can inspire their team to achieve great things.
  • Degree or HNC level qualification in electrical engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Full clean UK driving license >1 year of experience.
