Context/
Scope:

  • Diageo Mexico has a clear vision of be recognized as one of the top 3 sales forces within the CPG companies and the number 1 in the On Trade Channel.
  • Diageo has a solid position as market leader into the growing categories of Whisky & Tequila. We want to strengthen our position in both categories, but at the same time we have decided to expand our relevance and continue with our value creation strategy by entering in some other categories, such as rum & vodka.
  • To properly face these challenges, we have to accelerate our commercial capabilities in order to be able to exceed consumers & customers expectations and achieve our bold business goals, which include understand and develop customers passionate about middle class consumers, as well as craft the accurate differentiation to strategic customers.

Responsibilities
  • Lead multi-functional teams (Sales, On Trade, CP&A WHS, CP&A Reserve, Commercial Finance, Sales Control, Credit & Collections) in order to develop, implement and measure all Joint Business Plans activities, all of this, from a location outside Diageo´s Central Office.
  • Be in charge of 1 Commercial executives (Contractor). Develop Agenda, Kpi´s, Goals and Go out whit them every month.
  • Align with all CARM processes.
  • Be imaginative in finding solutions, generate ideas and move them to action
  • Build alignment, commit and outstanding teamwork
  • Demonstrate strive to make a positive difference to business performance
  • Ability to independently handle Diageo´s vision within a specific region using his line manager as support.


Purpose of de Role
  • Develop and/or reinforce current customer relationship on primary contacts (Owners, Commercial & Finance Directors, Operational Managers, and Buyers)
  • Follow up the differentiation and value proposition activities implementation with his/ her contacts within Magadan and Valverde.
  • Administrate Trade Investment Tool to Enhance Budget and implement it within Diageo´s merchandising guidelines
  • Enable operational teams to achieve excellence in execution at POS through outstanding negotiation
  • Able to analyze information (sales, margins, inventories, pricing, competition, trends, etc.) to generate deep insights and propose solutions in the short term
  • Be a key contributor of Search and Spin within WHS Chanel and the rest of the Sales organization.

Top Accountabilities:
  • Responsible for the follow up: Gross Sales, Volume, Profit, Cash Recovery and Market Share.
  • Generate relevant contributions NSV, Profit, Average Working Capital & Price Mix.

Qualifications and Experience Required:

Capabilities required
  • Fully Knowledge of Licence to Sell, Experienced Negotiation and Financial Basic.
  • Experience working with key accounts (Wholesale customers preferably) in CPG companies
  • High capacity to influence people that is not in their direct structure
  • Solid experience managing, training and developing people
  • Confirmed analytical, planning and negotiation skills, as well as critical thinking
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrate proactivity, initiative and determination (always work with sense of urgency)
  • Understanding of multifunctional interdependencies within Diageo
  • Balance priorities properly
  • Strong Financial understanding
  • University or college graduate
  • Proficient English /Spanish
  • Advanced Excel Skills
  • Resilience
