About the team:

As part of our Sales Development team, you will be an extension of the Sales organization establishing prospecting plans for strategic accounts to uncover new business.  Ideal candidates possess the aptitude to easily engage and establish rapport with executives and line of business professionals.

About the role:

As a Sales Development Representative - Outbound, you will generate qualified sales opportunities by responding to Marketing generated leads and targeted outbound prospecting.

As a Sales Development Representative - Outbound, you will play an integral part in the overall success of the business by prospecting marketing qualified leads to our Account Executives.   

In the short term you will:

  • Learn the Dice products and messaging to have quality conversations with potential customers
  • Develop new business by following up on leads generated by marketing campaigns and outbound cold-call generation
  • Establish and cultivate key relationships via the telephone
  • Work closely with internal teams to prospect and transfer leads generated
  • Present our company to potential prospects
  • Effectively overcome objections, present value propositions, and calibrate expectations

In the long term you will:

  • Consistently meet and exceed goals established by self and direct manager for setting initial presentation meetings
  • Have an excellent opportunity to become a full quota-carrying sales professional!

What you bring to the team:


Required:

  • Cold-calling experience - capable of and eager to make a high volume of dials daily
  • Experience with Salesforce.com
  • Experience with Sales Engagement tools like SalesLoft or Outreach
  • Experience prospecting and selling software solutions
  • Strong business acumen and the ability to quickly assess and understand a prospect’s business environment and needs and apply the business value of Dice
  • Consultative and solution prospecting/selling expertise
  • Hunter mindset with strong career aspirations
  • Marketing lead nurture and qualification
  • History of effectively managing a large territory, high volume of leads, and building/maintaining relationships
  • Systematic but flexible, self-directed; can prioritize and manage multiple work streams
  • Perseverance; handles objections and rejection
  • Thrives in a competitive team environment
  • Intuitive with the capacity to hit the ground running
  • Superior written/verbal communication and presentation skills

Preferred:

  • B2B enterprise software telesales or business development experience
New York pay range: Base salary/pay plus commissions per year at 100% of plan targets. Offer will depend on location and level of job-related knowledge, skills, abilities, and experience.
$60,000$95,000 USD
