Overview

The CMBS Secondary trading desk is part of Securitized Trading, sitting within the Global Financing & Credit Trading (GF&CT) business unit. The trading desk acts as a market maker in Agency CMBS Bonds to provide liquidity to our clients. If selected, you will hold the position of Agency CMBS Desk Head (Director level). You will partner with the Institutional Client Group (ICG) and Capital Markets to provide liquidity to our clients & support Deutsche Bank's new issue business.

  • What You'll Do
    • Act as a market maker to provide liquidity to our clients in Agency CMBS Bonds
    • Build your franchise in your sector & with clients to capture market share
    • Own & manage the market risk exposure of your trading positions
    • Leverage the ICG Credit sales team to source liquidity
    • Support Capital Markets in distributing new issues

    How You'll Lead
    • Responsibility for training junior Traders on the desk
    • Building the Deutsche Bank franchise with clients & capturing market share
    • Generating trade ideas alongside Sales & Research

    Skills You'll Need
    • Previous experience in the Agency CMBS market either on the buy/sell side
    • Existing relationships with buy-side clients active in this space
    • Strong knowledge of the Agency CMBS industry & ideally experiences trading this sector before
    • History of strong risk management and profitable trading

    Skills That Will Help You Excel
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken
    • Self-motivated
    • Self-starter

    Expectations

    It is the Bank's expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the New York, NY office in accordance with the Bank's hybrid working model.

    The salary range for this position in New York City is $200K to $485K.Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications. Posted salary ranges do not include incentive compensation or any other type of renumeration.
