The Systems Engineer will be responsible for implementing and supporting UNIX/Linux/Windows systems in a highly collaborative and fast paced environment. Responsibilities include identifying and correcting performance issues, and providing support to applications developers, infrastructure teams, DevOps and end‐users. The incumbent will be involved in designing automated solutions, , server provisioning, Capacity and Performance Management, performance monitoring, software installations, technical assistance, server security management, hardware recommendations and procurement.

Salary: $70,000/year-$146,600/year

Monitor and work ticket queue in order to triage, isolate, and remediate incidents and fulfill service requests as generated by end users to provide the operational support, customer engagement, and continual service improvement of Delta Dental's desktop environments and applications portfolios.

Provide business-facing support and conduct business requirements analysis to deliver capabilities and technology integrations across platforms for greater employee effectiveness.

Perform monthly patching and maintenance of software to improve upon existing employee engagement models, build upon ITSM processes for incident management, request management, and release management and continuously build more connected and interoperable platforms while planning, building, and implementing the Workplace Engineering technology roadmap.

Patch, update, manage, and create software packages for Windows-based SCCM and Intune or with macOS computers and Jamf.

Provide desktop engineering best practices, escalated customer support for Windows and macOS computers and operating systems, and configure, manage, and maintain desktop gold master images.

Support operations and partner with team members for strategic planning, road map development, and project implementation.

Performing Monthly patching and maintenance of software.

Remediating any systems which are missing patches.

Working on migrating all assets to Intune.

Telecommuting permissible from any location within the US.
Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or foreign degree equivalent in Electrical Engineering or related field and five (5) years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or related role.

Experience and/or education must include:
  • SCCM applied to Windows end point devices, end user applications deployment, Windows Operation system and patch deployments;
  • Cloud based endpoint management solution, such as Microsoft InTune;
  • Software delivery to end point device package creation tools such as SCCM and Intune;
  • PowerShell Scripting used for automating the management of systems;
  • Active Directory (AD) used to assign group policies to end point devices and users; and
  • Patch remediation applied in Windows.
