Senior Release - Process Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Release/Process Analyst to coordinate and manage both automated and manual application deployments across non-production and production environments. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams, leveraging tools like Azure DevOps, Jenkins, and Rundeck to ensure seamless deployment, continuous integration, and continuous delivery (CI/CD) processes. The role will specialize in analyzing processes and workflows and it's objective is finding out how they can be improved or automated.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate automated and manual deployment of various applications within the organization to non-production and production environments, utilizing tools like Azure DevOps, Jenkins, and Rundeck.
  • Process all builds using Jenkins and troubleshoot any build issues that may occur.
  • Regularly collaborate with software developers, production managers, testers, vendors, and other stakeholders involved in the production process.
  • Work with developers and DevOps teams to develop automation for application deployments, supporting the department's goal of achieving full automation.
  • Manage build, release, and CI/CD processes for software product releases.
  • Support and enhance the company's tools for CI/CD
  • Collaborate closely with DevOps and development teams to identify candidates for automation to support CI/CD.
  • Work with the development team, DevOps, and architecture teams to define best practices for build and deployment processes and implement adopted solutions.
  • Advise and support the team in adopting DevOps practices, serving as an active advisor on best practices for development partners.
  • Create installation plans for applications based on established instructions, collaborating with the development team.
  • Coordinate walkthroughs with different teams supporting deployments to ensure proper steps, sequence of events, timing, and dependencies are identified before deployment.
  • Lead and coordinate all go-live activities, including scheduling, execution of the release plan, alignment with key partners, and post-release monitoring. Act as the point of contact for these activities and perform the actual installation of applications using automation.
  • Ensure all change records are audited for accuracy, required approvals are attached, back-out steps are clearly identified, and all change management requirements are followed.
  • Communicate change management best practices and updates to developers and ensure policies are enforced.
  • Ensure applications are deployed correctly and troubleshoot any issues that arise during build and deployment.
  • Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation for one week per month, providing after-hours support as needed.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years professional experience with Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Experience with version control software, including GitHub and JFrog.
  • Proficient in DevOps CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Chef, and Rundeck.
  • Familiarity with Redhat and MS Windows operating systems.
  • Experience using Ivanti, Atlassian JIRA, and Confluence.
  • Knowledge of WebLogic, Docker, and Azure Cloud application/services deployment.
  • Strategic thinking — an understanding of strategic business objectives and the ability to develop a vision and strategy for ISTM and related processes and execute it effectively, in order to drive results toward those objectives
  • Proven ability to collaborate, build relationships and influence individuals at all levels in a matrix management environment (as well as external vendors and service providers) to ensure that segregation and overlapping roles are identified and coordinated
  • Ability to manage both Technology and business stakeholders
  • Familiarity with software development life cycle (SDLC), both traditional and agile
  • Solid understanding of project management methodologies including the ability to identify and resolve issues, manage risks, develop detailed work plans and specifications, and run team meetings
  • Strategic relationship management — including working with both Infrastructure and Development Teams
  • Effective leadership and an ability to drive change
  • Ability to clearly present written information and findings and subsequent remediation plans to all levels of management, in and outside of Technology

Base Pay Information

The national base pay range at the end is a good-faith estimate of what Delta Dental may pay for new hires. Actual pay may vary based on Delta Dental's assessment of the candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities (KSAs), related experience, education, certifications and ability to meet required minimum job qualifications. Other factors impacting pay include prevailing wages in the work location and internal equity. Pay Grade 19. $92,500 - $200,400
