The Senior Actuarial Analyst role is for someone who has demonstrated an advanced understanding and acumen for actuarial concepts. Someone in this position has experience performing larger, moderately complex analyses, and is expected to work independently with minimal oversight. This job is responsible for accurately analyzing dental experience to support forecasting, reserving, fee development, regulatory requirements and financial reporting. This position also actively supports internal and external customers to explain and support analyses and methodologies. As an experienced team member, this job will also actively mentor staff.
This person will go be considered hybrid, going into one of these three offices to work: Camp Hill, PA; Alpharetta, GA; Oakland, CA.

Responsibilities:
- Performs comprehensive analysis ranging from client-specific to global (book of business) using experience from the largest, most complex datasets.
- Conducts analysis, pricing and risk management to estimate financial outcomes using actuarial modeling.
- Guides and mentors analysts.
- Provides review of analyses developed by Actuarial Analysts.
- Prepares and presents documents to support analysis to internal and external customers.
- Supports fellow actuarial team members through peer review process.
- Advises and provides guidance on actuarial reporting to internal and external customers.
Qualifications:
- 4+ of analyzing actuarial data with a Bachelor's degree.
- Candidates with proven related experience may be considered for this position.
- SQL skills preferred.
- MS suite skills in Outlook, Teams, Word, and Excel.
- Intermediate communication skills, written and verbal, are required.
- Strong organization, time and project management skills and multi-tasking capabilities are required.
- Advanced knowledge of statistics and statistical applications is required.
- Candidate must be detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem solving skills.
Base Pay Information
The national base pay range at the end is a good-faith estimate of what Delta Dental may pay for new hires. Actual pay may vary based on Delta Dental's assessment of the candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities (KSAs), related experience, education, certifications and ability to meet required minimum job qualifications. Other factors impacting pay include prevailing wages in the work location and internal equity.
Pay Grade 21. $80,500 - $174,300
