As the Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) Director, you will be responsible for developing and overseeing the strategic and operational aspects of the organization's revenue cycle. In this role, you will optimize financial processes, from patient registration through billing and collections, while integrating advanced technologies to enhance efficiency and streamline workflows.

You will lead efforts to scale RCM services, ensuring they align with broader healthcare initiatives and support OHIC's commitment to innovation and patient-centered care. This position plays a critical role in driving operational excellence, leveraging data-driven insights, and collaborating with leadership to implement best practices that enhance revenue performance and improve patient experiences.

Responsibilities:

  • Build and manage a team of agents and supervisors, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Conduct financial data analysis to inform decision-making and report on financial performance.
  • Develop and implement strategies to achieve revenue cycle goals, including maximizing cash flow and minimizing outstanding insurance collections and aged claims.
  • Design and optimize systems for patient registration, eligibility verification, billing, collections, and payment posting to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
  • Oversee the integration and implementation of third-party software and evolving technologies to enhance workflows and create value-added services.
  • Scale revenue cycle management services as part of the Epic Community Connect reseller program.
  • Develop performance reporting systems and communication strategies for clinics participating in the Community Connect program.
  • Ensure compliance with regulations, standards, and updates related to billing, coding, and insurance.
  • Collaborate with leadership, clinical, and administrative staff to align revenue cycle strategies with organizational goals.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, information technology, or a related field (Master's preferred).
  • 10+ years of experience in a revenue cycle role with leadership responsibilities, ideally within a dental or healthcare organization.
  • In-depth knowledge of billing, coding, and reimbursement processes.
  • Experience in multi-specialty environments and multi-payer systems, including PPO, HMO, Medicare, and Medicaid.
  • Proficiency in healthcare IT systems, such as EMR and PMS platforms.
  • Ability to quickly extract key insights from complex data and details.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with demonstrated experience using data-driven decision making and performing financial and operational analysis.
  • Ability to bring new ideas and new ways of thinking and be able have them easily understood and adopted by individuals of all levels throughout the organization.
  • Outstanding communication skills are essential.
  • Highly collaborative team player who fosters open communication and facilitates mutual understanding and cooperation between all stakeholders.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational and critical thinking skills.
  • Proven ability to resolve conflict and facilitate decision-making.

Base Pay Information

The national base pay range at the end is a good-faith estimate of what Delta Dental may pay for new hires. Actual pay may vary based on Delta Dental's assessment of the candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities (KSAs), related experience, education, certifications and ability to meet required minimum job qualifications. Other factors impacting pay include prevailing wages in the work location and internal equity.
Pay Grade 24. $122,400 - $265,100
