Cash Receipts Specialist

Alpharetta, GA

The Cash Receipts Specialist will be responsible for processing, balancing, and posting cash receipts to Delta Dental accounting system(s); distributing daily reports and miscellaneous accounts receivable entries as assigned. The incumbent must be able to handle a high volume of cash receipt postings for various enterprise companies in a fast-paced environment.

This person will work in a hybrid work schedule.

Responsibilities:

  • Processes, balances and posts cash receipt items to Delta Dental Accounts Receivable system as assigned.
  • Reviews, edits and balances daily cash receipt postings and meets department turn-around time.
  • Reviews all checks; verifies accuracy of all pertinent information (signatures, amounts, issuer names, etc.), and utilizes payment backup to ensure timely and accurate cash application.
  • Researches and processes unapplied and unidentified receipts in a timely manner.
  • Requests, reviews, edits and distributes daily reports.
  • Escalates issues/problems to supervisor for resolution.

Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of experience w/High School
  • 2+ years of related experience is preferred
  • Must possess strong organizational skills; able to handle a high volume of checks/cash receipts for various enterprise companies while maintaining accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment, effectively meeting tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office applications. Knowledge of Oracle Financial system is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Delta Dental policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.

Base Pay Information

The national base pay range at the end is a good-faith estimate of what Delta Dental may pay for new hires. Actual pay may vary based on Delta Dental's assessment of the candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities (KSAs), related experience, education, certifications and ability to meet required minimum job qualifications. Other factors impacting pay include prevailing wages in the work location and internal equity. $36,900 - $74,600
