Accounts Receivable Analyst

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Analyst to join our team. This role involves mid-level accounting functions within the Accounts Receivable (AR) department, ensuring compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and statutory requirements. You will analyze AR general ledger accounts, resolve variances, and prepare reports and journal entries while supporting month-end close activities.

Please note this is a hybrid position and requires the ability to report to the office. Frequency depends on the business need.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor daily bank interfaces, ACH credits/returns, and prepare daily cash reconciliations.
  • Analyze AR and revenue variances; prepare and post monthly journal entries, including deferred revenue and accruals.
  • Reconcile assigned general ledger accounts; research and resolve variances.
  • Prepare intercompany premium transfers and gross revenue adjustments from Third-Party Administrators and brokers.
  • Prepare and publish monthly AR reports and review weekly ACH debits.
  • Investigate and correct system discrepancies; manage financial system interface exceptions.
  • Provide timely responses to internal and external auditor requests.
  • Collaborate across departments to communicate findings and ensure data accuracy.
  • Assist with ad hoc projects as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business administration (with a focus on accounting or finance) required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience preferred. Healthcare industry/insurance experience is a plus!
  • Proficient knowledge of GAAP and general accounting structures.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and multitasking abilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, changing environment with competing priorities.
  • Proficiency in financial systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, including VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and charts; Word; Outlook; Teams). Oracle Fusion ERP experience is a plus!
  • Independent but also team-oriented with the ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.

Base Pay Information

The national base pay range at the end is a good faith estimate of what Delta Dental may pay for new hires. Actual pay may vary based on Delta Dental's assessment of the candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities (KSAs), related experience, education, certifications, and ability to meet required minimum job qualifications. Other factors impacting pay include prevailing wages in the work location and internal equity.
Pay Grade 15. $40,500 - $84,800
