Finance & Administration- Wealth Planning Analyst

We are looking for a detail-oriented individual with strong communication skills to join our Wealth Planning team. This role provides the opportunity to work alongside experienced and credentialed personal financial planners, and to build relationships with the leaders of the firm. If you are interested in utilizing your personal finance, accounting, math, and/or business skills to educate others and help them achieve their financial goals, then invest in your professional development by working on a team committed to excellence and quality service for our clients.

Work you'll do

As a Wealth Planning Analyst, you will work with a team of experienced personal wealth planning counselors while interacting with individuals at multiple levels of the organization. The position will focus on activities related to personal wealth planning including preparing cash flow projections, retirement plans, survivor sufficiency plans, and presentation materials related to personal financial planning. The internal Wealth Planning team does not provide tax compliance services, legal or investment advice, nor does it provide advice and analysis concerning the purchase or sale of insurance products or securities. However, a general understanding of tax concepts, investment and/or insurance vehicles would be advantageous in the understanding and development of personal financial plans.

Responsibilities include:

  • Preparing cash flow projections and retirement plans for Deloitte's Partners, Principals, and Managing Directors using excel models, financial planning software, and incorporating income tax software analysis to model the impact of taxes
  • Learning the nuances of the benefit plan provisions and calculations, running benefit projections, and applying this knowledge while preparing retirement benefit education materials
  • Ensuring delivery of accurate and timely results while balancing multiple tasks and responsibilities
  • Communicating clearly and effectively to all levels both on the project team and the client team
  • Supporting the team in ad-hoc requests and special projects
  • Performing other job-related duties as assigned

The team

Our Wealth Planning team provides exceptional client service to the Partners, Principals, and Managing Directors (PPMDs) of the firm. Our team members focus on helping our PPMDs make informed decisions on personal financial matters so that they can maximize their wealth and achieve their financial goals. Our team includes credentialed subject matter experts including CPAs, lawyers, and Certified Financial Planners (CFP). We encourage the individual joining our team to invest in their career development in pursuit of these credentials.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Personal Financial Planning is preferred; will consider a degree in Accounting, Finance, Math, or a similar technical discipline
  • Strong academic track record
  • Ability to travel 0-10%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
  • The start date for this position will be in 2025

Preferred:

  • 3.2 GPA or greater
  • Intermediate proficiency in MS Excel and MS PowerPoint
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation and influencing skills
  • Strong commitment to integrity and confidentiality
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with a team in a dynamic work environment
  • Ability to plan, prioritize and make decisions on multiple time-sensitive projects with high attention to detail

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $49,400 to $91,000
