Deloitte Tax LLP seeks a Tax Senior Manager in New York, New York.
Work You'll Do
Oversee the day-to-day client service relationships and serve as the gateway to a variety of specialized Deloitte Tax services that help improve compliance with taxing entities while maintaining each client's overall tax risk profile. Apply an in-depth understanding of Federal Tax compliance and planning, and work closely with clients to understand each organization's global goals and strategies and how industry and economic trends affect the business. Oversee tax consulting services to effectively diagnose, solve, develop and implement clients' tax needs. Oversee complex tax research projects for clients in diverse industries. Research and analyze a wide range of tax issues related to business transactions and tax implications of financing techniques. Perform tax-planning responsibilities for our corporate and individual clients. Supervise assignments by the professional accountants serving as Tax Consultants, Tax Seniors and Tax Managers.

Requirements
- Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, Law or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent).
- Four (4) years of experience as a Tax Senior Manager or related occupation gaining experience providing tax planning services or preparing and reviewing client work papers and tax returns.
- Experience must include four (4) years of:
- Identifying opportunities to accelerate and enhance the delivery of federal tax services for clients in the financial services industry (FSI) using tax technology;
- Utilizing tax software, including GoSystem, to coordinate with tax team members in the preparation of federal, state, local, and international income tax returns, calculate estimated tax, and process filings;
- Providing training to teams on tax tools, including flow-through income allocation tools and CCH, to provide tax compliance and consulting services to clients;
- Developing process improvements to facilitate preparation of quarterly estimated tax payments for corporations, and preparing schedules for federal and state income tax returns and state franchise tax;
- Assisting corporations with Internal Revenue Service and state tax examinations by collecting historical tax reports and data to help respond to Information Document Requests (IDRs);
- Assisting in the review of Partnership tax returns, including Forms K-1, K-2, and K-3;
- Utilizing macros and VBA to perform tax provision and tax workpaper redesign in accordance with ASC 740;
- Incorporating tax technology to address complex tax problems, including building custom tax tools for international, federal, state and local tax returns;
- Working with senior-level client management to analyze tax filing processes to make recommendations on tax technology to improve business processes and systems; and
- Assisting with supervising the full engagement lifecycle, including staffing, billing and closing out projects.
- Position requires approximately 20% domestic travel.
- Salary: $146,510.00 - $272,090.00/year.
