Position Summary
Deloitte Tax LLP seeks a Tax Manager in Denver, Colorado.
Work You'll Do
Provide tax compliance and consulting services to multinational clients on the tax implications of their international operations. Identify complex tax issues and provide tax analysis and recommendations for these entities and their affiliates. Assist clients with their implementation of specific international tax structures and processes. Coordinate complex tax computation projects for clients in diverse industries. Research and prepare materials for consulting projects related to tax planning considerations. Provide leadership, counseling, and career guidance for the development and motivation of the engagement team. Mentor and train junior team members.

Requirements
- Master's (or higher) degree in Economics, Finance, Taxation, Accounting or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent).
- Three (3) years of experience as a Tax Manager or related occupation gaining tax planning, reporting, and compliance experience.
- Experience must include three (3) years of:
- Performing international tax structuring and strategic tax and supply chain planning, and assisting clients with the implementation of international tax structures and processes;
- Reviewing business model sustainability and designing and implementing new global operating methods to minimize tax risks while optimizing the effective tax rate and cash available for business utilization, including performing post-merger integration, intellectual property (IP) planning, functional driver realignments, supply chain planning, and transformative business modeling to support detailed design and implementation projects;
- Identifying tax planning opportunities and designing and implementing optimal global tax strategies for international mergers and acquisitions (M&A), financing, treasury, cash repatriation planning, and debt restructuring for multinational companies;
- Designing and implementing tax-efficient holding company structures, performing legal entity integration, and supporting rationalization efforts across multiple jurisdictions;
- Performing tax modeling, coordinating complex tax computation projects, and analyzing tax positions of companies, including calculating tax costs and benefits for transactions and restructuring alternatives;
- Performing buy-side or sell-side tax due diligence and M&A tax support;
- Performing tax reviews from international and corporate tax perspectives, and providing tax support for audit engagements;
- Preparing tax research and advice on complex tax issues for multinational clients, analyzing corporate and international tax considerations, and providing relevant recommendations;
- Working with team members on the development of international tax tools and Excel models; and
- Assisting with the full life cycle of engagements, including staffing, budgeting, and closing out projects, and interacting directly with senior management of the engagement team and clients to discuss issue resolution and continuity.
- Position requires approximately 80% domestic travel.
