Deloitte Tax LLP seeks a Tax Delivery Manager in New York, New York.
Work You'll Do
Assist multinational clients with the development of tax-aligned compensation and benefits programs that address their global and domestic needs. Work with clients to streamline their programs while managing tax effectiveness, risks, and costs. Manage internal resources and work directly with clients to provide expatriate and foreign-national tax compliance and consulting services to our multi-national clients. Possess the professionalism necessary for the effective diagnosis, solution, and implementation of client issues. Assist with the preparation and delivery of proposals for engagements and possess a working knowledge of the range of services offered by the organization. Review individual income tax returns, conduct US tax law research, manage tax consulting projects, and assist in the administration of company tax programs. Supervise assignments by Tax Consultants and Seniors and provide them with leadership, counseling and career guidance. Address individual income tax issues and tax law including foreign national and expatriate issues, foreign tax compliance and the tax equalization process.

Requirements
- Bachelor's (or higher) degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent).
- Five (5) years of experience as Tax Delivery Manager or a related occupation gaining experience performing expatriate and foreign national tax compliance, equalization policy implementation and management of international assignee population of multinational clients.
- Position requires five (5) years of experience of:
- Performing global payroll and tax reporting using data from clients' financial accounting systems;
- Applying Internal Revenue Code sections and double tax treaties in relation to host country tax laws for expatriate and inpatriate populations;
- Reviewing and signing individual income tax returns;
- Determining foreign countries' tax reporting requirements in relation to U.S. tax law reporting events;
- Reviewing compensation variables and wage types implemented for wage bucketing in clients' financial accounting software tools and interpreting its U.S. tax implications;
- Reviewing multiple countries' reports to ensure accuracy in payroll reporting, and running quarterly and year-end estimate tax calculations;
- Advising on individual income tax issues pertaining to expatriates and foreign nationals, tax compliances in jurisdictions outside of the U.S., and the tax equalization process;
- Advising on taxation and social security issues associated with international assignments and compensation and benefits;
- Utilizing tax research tools, including BNA, CCH, LexisNexis, or RIA Checkpoint to provide tax compliance and consulting services to global business travelers; and
- Utilizing tax software, including CCH Axcess and ProSystem, to compute taxes, conduct research and integrate with internal tracking tools.
- Salary: $142,646.00 - $213,200.00/year.
