Work you'll do
- Analyze and understand complex business with multiple system integrations and engineering challenges.
- Understand user needs, and design end-to-end user experience by practical, reliable, and efficient solutions.
- Demonstrate clear proficiency in architecture (web app, micro-services-based APIs, data stores) and designing solutions using modern, scalable and open-source solutions.
- Demonstrate experience in explaining complex solutions in simple and intuitive manner to different stakeholders.
- Collaborate with multiple small teams to design, develop and deliver product features incremental and iterative manner.
- Be a champion for modern application development practices and mentor team members towards them.

The GPS AI & Data Engineering offering is responsible for developing advanced analytics products and applying data visualization and statistical programming tools to enterprise data in order to advance and enable the key mission outcomes for our clients. Our team supports all phases of analytic work product development, from the identification of key business questions through data collection and ETL, and from performing analyses and using a wide range of statistical, machine learning, and applied mathematical techniques to delivery insights to decision-makers. Our practitioners give special attention to the interplay between data and the business processes that produce it and the decision-makers that consume insights.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree required
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
- 8+ years of Agile cloud development experience
- 4+ years of development experience with the following or similar: Java/ J2EE, Java API for RESTfful Webservices, Spring Rest, Spring Core, Full stack Java with angular, Java Spring Framework, SoapUI (API/Webservices), Springboot, or Spring MVC.
- 4+ years of experience using Node.JS
- Experience working with AWS ecosystem and related tools and technologies.
Preferred:
- Experience migrating front-end systems to more modern tech stack including NodeJS, Python, converting to new programming languages with focus, on Security postures, use of AWS Developer Tools (Kinesis, S3, Cloud Watch, Athena, Lambda) and store procedures
- Expertise in SQL and able to read and write complex queries, views and stored procedures, with a working knowledge of PostgreSQL, Athena, and RedShift
- The ideal candidate must have experience with development and maintenance using GitHub and Jenkins.
- Experience with unit testing and code coverage (SonarQube) frameworks. Java, Maven, and Junit experience
- Experience working in agile environments using tools like JIRA, Confluence, and Slack.
- Experience working with Healthcare data specifically
- Experience with EDI/X12 HIPAA is a plus.
