Position Summary

Deloitte Tax LLP seeks a Software Engineer, Manager in Tempe, Arizona.

Work You'll Do

Responsible for design, analysis, development, implementation, and deployment of new data driven web based applications, and providing support for existing systems. Lead a team of developers to deliver end-to-end web solutions for moderate to complex projects in a fast-paced environment. Supervise and mentor senior and staff team members. Develop and maintain the software framework and services using the .NET framework and Microsoft technologies. Interact with business analyst/client(s) to understand business problems being addressed. Review project requirements and estimate the necessary time-to-completion. Create unit test plans and scenarios for development unit testing. Carry out code reviews and unit testing of new development. Document new developments, procedures or test plans as needed. Interact with other development teams in an effort to ensure a consistent, uniform approach to software development. Follow software development best practices to maximize the predictability and success of projects. Prepare technical design documents using enterprise standard documentation tools. Deploy all integration artifacts to testing and production environments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's (or higher) degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Engineering or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent).
  • Five (5) years of experience as a Software Engineer, Manager or related occupation gaining experience with programming languages, including C#, ASP.NET, Web API, and Windows service.
  • Experience must include five (5) years of:
    • Analyzing and understanding customer requirements end to end and working based on approved design;
    • Utilizing ASP.NET, ADO.NET, VB.net, Microsoft SQL server and Oracle 10g to develop customer requirements into solutions, conduct unit testing of solutions developed, and support users during user acceptance testing activities;
    • Coordinating release management of the solutions tested and end user training;
    • Interacting with clients, product managers, and other developers to envision, model and provide initial models and designs that can be built;
    • Utilizing latest technologies to develop customer requirements into solutions, and working on automated Unit testing;
    • Reviewing code to ensure quality of design by avoiding complexity and advocating clarity;
    • Utilizing Devops framework for continuous development, integration, testing, delivery and deployment using GIT;
    • Working on new initiatives, building an approach and providing demos across different teams; and
    • Mentoring new team members.
