  • Support the design of workshops and working sessions with senior executives to build understanding and drive action
  • Support Finance and firm leadership with ad-hoc specialized analyses
  • Support large, complex engagements for FP&A and Finance leaders to transform the organization, with a focus on forward-looking operations and change management
  • Support the implementation of recommendations by promoting cross-functional stakeholder engagement, communications and other change management elements
  • Support collaboration across ITS, Enabling Areas and Businesses to drive systemic solutions and sustainable impact across projects
  • Support the development of reporting to measure the impact of changes
  • Translate conceptual questions into data-driven analyses to allow leaders to make informed decisions
  • Transform data into useful information tailored to leadership needs through storyboarding and data visualization
  • Structure modeling efforts that underpin strategic recommendations
  • Develop relationships with other internal consulting and analytics groups to drive growth and profitability
  • Support key stakeholder groups to build cross-functional relationships across the organization
  • Provide ad-hoc expertise on project framework, approach, tools and firm data to other teams
  • Develop project plans and timelines, track progress through milestones and metrics, and collaborate cross-functionally with firm leadership, Business leadership, FP&A teams (e.g., Finance Business Partners), and additional teams (e.g., Talent, Strategy)
  • Develop executive level presentations to communicate and achieve consensus for recommendations
  • Build supporting materials that assist leaders and stakeholders in the decision-making process
  • Support leaders in strategic activities and engage in stretch opportunities aligned with professional development goals and strengths

The successful candidate will possess:

  • Ability to apply strategic thinking and hypothesis-based consulting to frame complex questions into analytical problems and provide meaningful insights
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Experience working independently as well as collaboratively across large teams

The team and the role

The Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) organization supports our business, market and enabling area leaders by providing world class financial support. FP&A is made up of advisors who are influential in decision-making and partner with finance leaders to drive meaningful strategic and financial outcomes.

Within FP&A, the Strategic Analytics (SA) team integrates big data analytics, strategic thinking, and deep firm knowledge to provide leadership with insights to drive informed decision-making and enable continued growth. The team partners with business and operational leaders to provide an impact by leveraging data and analytical tools, strategic thinking and hypothesis-based analysis. Specific responsibilities and qualifications for the Senior Consultant role are outlined below.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related subject
  • Minimum of 3+ years of relevant Finance experience
  • Limited immigration sponsorship may be available
  • Demonstrated accomplishments in the following areas:
    • Financial reporting and analysis
    • Planning and forecasting
    • Project management
    • Data analysis, management, and visualization
    • Work with senior leadership
    • Advanced in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams)

Preferred:

  • Advanced education degree a plus
  • Experience in a professional services firm is a plus
  • Proficiency in Tableau
  • Ability to travel as needed

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $103,900 to $140,600.

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
