Media Engineer - Senior Consultant

Job Overview

Media Systems Design Engineer provided overall engineering support in technical drawing and documentation, build, system, and equipment configuration, and final documentation for projects encompassed within the Media Supply Chain.

A remote work environment is supported when applicable, with travel up to 50%+, depending on the client's location and requirements.

This position is extremely dynamic, and responsibilities will vary based on client location, requirements, and expectations. The Media Systems Design Engineer will also interface with clients at multiple levels, ranging from technical research and specification to end-user training.

Responsibilities

  • Engineering equipment specification and selection.
  • Technical conceptualization, design, documentation, and run listing.
  • Attend and/or conduct client design reviews.
  • System configuration, test & commission activities (including vendor-related deployment).
  • As-built and final documentation delivery.

Required Qualifications

  • BS in an Engineering discipline or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of overall experience in media industry system design, build, and deployment.
  • Experience in Broadcast and Broadcast Technololgy.
  • General network, video (HD-SDI & 4K), digital audio, and control system knowledge.
  • Strong computer skills and experience with relevant software programs.
  • Strong collaborative skills and ability to maintain positive work relationships.
  • Strong critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional research and reporting skills.
  • Experience with AutoCAD.
  • Adept with the Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, and Vision
  • Ability to travel 50% on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.
  • Limited immigration sponsorship may be available.

Preferred Qualifications

  • SMPTE 2110 standards and practices.
  • A&E/MEP space planning, electrical, and HVAC practices.
  • Experience with Microsoft Visio.

Wages + Salary

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $124,950 to $208,250. You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
