About the Audit & Assurance Strategy Execution Team:

The A&A Strategy Execution Team (ASET) is aligned to the A&A Strategy Office, reporting to the A&A Chief Strategy Officer, and enables A&A PPMDs and professionals to successfully execute the A&A strategy. In support of A&A strategic priorities, the team drives awareness and action through effective internal communications and change management strategies and fosters employee commitment and sustained strategy adoption to achieve transformational change. This team specializes in the disciplines of internal communications, change management, and employee engagement. The team works closely with A&A Executive Leadership Team; the team also collaborates with Talent, Learning, Pursuits, Marketing, Public Relations, and communications teams across the other Deloitte businesses to optimize impact.

Position summary:

Are you a creative thinker with excellent communication and project management skills? Do you have a strategic and executional mindset that can deliver high-value communication and change management results that drive business objectives?

Deloitte is seeking a passionate Internal Communications Manager to join our Audit & Assurance Strategy Execution Team (ASET). You will work closely with your colleagues on an integrated internal communications and change management team, as well as with senior leaders and subject matter experts.

Work you'll do:

  • Work closely with the A&A Executive Leadership Team to understand their change priorities and communication needs across the A&A business strategy to drive adoption of large-scale organizational transformation and implementation of talent strategies, process changes, growth strategies, and technology deployments.
  • Develop impactful change management and communications plans that assess business readiness, align stakeholder groups, consider change impacts, and enable and inspire our business of 20,000 professionals to take action; ensure appropriate sequencing of messages and campaign launches through thoughtful internal communication plans.
  • Write and edit timely business-wide internal communications and change management deliverables in support of A&A strategic priorities (e.g., leadership messages, news stories, articles, videos, surveys, newsletter content, webcast content, business-wide content, internal website pages, talking points, frequently asked questions, etc.).
  • Employ strong project management skills (initiating, planning, executing, managing, and closing projects to achieve plan objectives); participate in working sessions with project teams.
  • Manage a range of communications channels, including e-mail, intranet (i.e., DeloitteNet), video, social media, and other digital platforms.
  • Monitor and measure the effectiveness of internal communications and make recommendations for improvements as needed.
  • Coach and manage team members on their professional development plans and identify opportunities for their professional growth and expansion of communications and change management skills and experiences.

Key relationships and development:

  • Develop trusted advisor relationships and provide communications and change management counsel to key internal clients, including leaders across the organization
  • Develop relationships with fellow communications and change management team members to solve problems

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, English, Journalism or related field
  • 7+ years' experience in communications or a related area
  • Experience developing C-suite communications
  • Strong writing and editing skills and previous writing/editing experience in the field of internal communications, public relations, marketing, or journalism
  • Experience managing a team of change management and communications professionals
  • Experience working with senior leadership
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint: specifically, on presentation, design, and storytelling)
  • Demonstrated expertise in creative and content direction
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong knowledge of leading practices in corporate communications and change management impacts
  • Basic understanding of change management frameworks and tactics
  • Experience working collaboratively in a virtual environment with team members
  • Experience in employee communications as part of large-scale change management efforts to drive the implementation of organizational transformation efforts is a bonus
  • Ability to travel up to 20%, on average, based on the work you do
  • Immigration sponsorship may be available

Preferred:

  • Experience with website design and/or content management systems
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite and video editing software, including Camtasia
  • Data analysis skills and capabilities

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $84,300 to $140,600.

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
