Position Summary

Deloitte Services LP seeks a Manager EFA in Charlotte, NC.

Work You'll Do

Interact with senior level and external clients and firm leadership to present various analyses, discuss recommendations and provide engagement financial advice. Provide guidance, direction, and leadership to proposal efforts from the engagement management/control perspective. Lead engagement management office (PMO) functional tasks and perform day-to-day contract management activities. Understand and utilize standard processes for project management, quality management, and risk management. Contribute to the growth and development of the Engagement Financial Advisor (EFA) practice through active involvement in multiple practice initiatives. Lead budget preparation activities and forecasts and provide engagement financial advice. Develop and implement standards and processes for engagement management, quality management, and risk management. Prepare and facilitate firm training sessions with engagement management teams. Work with practice leadership to resolve practitioner performance issues. Provide supervision and oversight of the EFA staff, including task management and deliverable quality reviews. Establish controls and ensure the quality and integrity of engagement and/or client financial records and reporting.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Economics, Finance or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent).
  • Three years of experience as Manager EFA or a related occupation gaining experience performing financial analyses, including reconciliation and variance analysis.
  • Experience must include three years of:
    • analyzing various pricing scenarios and determining project profitability and feasibility to advise management on project margin;
    • providing recommendations and support to engagement and account leaders by presenting financial reports to leadership, and by implementing project management controls using Tableau, SWIFT, and Excel modeling;
    • creating future financial state business model plans and recommendations;
    • developing and implementing standards using SAP S/4HANA queries to support account financial reporting, quality, and risk management for project leadership and clients;
    • monitoring and tracking project forecasts, working with leadership to ensure actuals meet revenue goals, and providing recommendations and alternative options to maximize margins;
    • spearheading internal project initiative to improve existing deliverables tracker by standardizing and streamlining the process to enhance transparency, provide near real-time data, and offer an extended view of accounts;
    • analyzing and reporting on data utilizing financial systems, audit and Excel tools, and Microsoft PowerPoint;
    • interacting with senior level internal clients and firm leadership to present various analyses, discuss recommendations and provide engagement financial advice; and
    • providing mentoring, training, and coaching to junior staff.
  • Position requires approximately 10% domestic travel.
