Life Sciences

Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and implementation of advanced AI and machine learning models to analyze complex life sciences data, including signal and imaging data.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including biologists, clinicians, and engineers, to design and execute data-driven research projects.
- Develop and validate predictive models to support drug discovery, clinical trials, and personalized medicine initiatives.
- Analyze large-scale datasets from various sources, such as genomic, proteomic, and metabolomic data, to uncover novel biological insights.
- Utilize advanced statistical and computational techniques to preprocess, clean, and transform raw data into actionable insights.
- Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders through clear and concise reports, visualizations, and presentations.
- Stay current with the latest advancements in AI, machine learning, and data science methodologies, and apply them to ongoing projects.
- Mentor and guide junior data scientists and researchers in best practices for data analysis and model development.
Qualifications Required:
- Ph.D. or Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Bioinformatics, Biostatistics, or a related field with a focus on life sciences.
- 8+Extensive experience in developing and deploying AI and machine learning models, particularly in the context of life sciences.
- 6+ years proficiency in handling and analyzing signal data (e.g., EEG, ECG) and imaging data (e.g., MRI, CT scans).
- 8+ years experience programming skills in languages such as Python, R, or MATLAB, and experience with relevant data science libraries and frameworks.
- 8+ years demonstrated experience working with large, complex datasets and perform data integration from multiple sources.
- Limited immigration sponsorship may be available
Preferred:
- Experience with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark)
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically about data and experimental design.
- Presentation skills with a high degree of comfort with both large and small audiences
- Demonstrated experience driving both the sales cycle by taking the lead in framing out client opportunities and leading the pursuit team to create the proposal content for client discussions
- Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment
- Demonstrated experience with management and delivery of multiple strategic engagements for large global organization
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

This compensation range is specific to California and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $193,725 to $322,875.
You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
