Position Summary
Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu Services, LLC seeks a Lead Software Solutions Specialist in Hermitage, Tennessee.
Work You'll Do
Liaise and communicate effectively with cross-border teams. Ensure the work performed is in accordance with quality standards of the organization. Present technical solutions to team members and leadership, a team of product owners, developers, and business resources. Responsible for big data ETL pipeline development with Spark, Hive, and related technologies. Working with general-purpose programming language such as Python, Scala, or Java. Responsible for working with Spark framework and related tools such as PySpark and Scala and working with Hadoop ecosystem using HDFS, ADLS Gen2, or AWS S3. Participating in data visualization development using Python, Tableau, or PowerBI. Ability to conduct performance-tuning concepts for relational and distributed database systems. Responsible for working with distributed programming, big data concepts, and cloud computing.

Requirements
Employer will accept a bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent degree, in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or a related field and two (2) years of experience in the job offered or in a Software Solutions Specialist; Big Data Engineer- related occupation.
Position requires experience in the following special skills:
- Two (2) years of experience in software development with any of the following programming languages: Python, Scala or Java.
- Two (2) years of experience in supporting product projects.
- Two (2) years of experience in coordinating data engineering and ETL pipeline development with spark, Python, SQL or Scala.
- Two (2) years of experience in cloud computing, focusing on AWS or Azure.
- Working with Container Orchestration and related technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Designing and developing data models and related transformations, standardizing content for engagements and developing analytical use cases in the data platform.
- Ensuring the work performed is in accordance with quality standards of the organization.
Telecommuting/working from home permitted within commutable distance.
*Position requires up to 10% domestic travel.
