At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $131,175 to $218,625

Work you'll do

As a Deloitte Consulting Health Actuary Manager in Deloitte's GPS Human Capital Actuarial and Insurance Solutions Practice, you will assist Deloitte Senior Managers and Partners in providing strategic and technical consulting services to Federal and State governments, employer groups, and other public entities.

The Organization Transformation offering (OT) focuses on transforming the organization (and the providers that serve them) to support its business strategy. This includes changing the organization's culture, modernizing specific functions and re-designing the structure of an organization. Organization Transformation can occur at the enterprise, business unit, or functional level, involves both employers and providers across the Human Capital ecosystem, and requires a combination of change management actions to execute the transformation.

Qualifications

Required:

  • 8 + years of health actuarial experience and consulting and/or health plan/insurance company experience
  • Bachelor's Degree Required
  • 3 years' + experience with Medicaid managed care capitation rate development and/or fee-for-service rate development
  • 1+ years experience leading teams and managing client/executive relationships
  • Ability to travel 25%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
  • Ability to work on-site in Albany, NY
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future

Preferred:

  • ASA with progression to FSA, FSA, or career ASA designation
  • 1+ years experience providing Medicaid consulting services to Government agencies
  • 1+ years experience with Medicaid waivers (i.e., 1115, 1915 b/c, 1332)
  • 1+ years experience with risk adjustment mechanisms
  • 1+ years experience with Provider reimbursement streams (i.e., DSH, UPL, etc)

This compensation range is specific to California, Colorado, Hawaii, Jersey City, Nevada, New York state, and Washington state and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $131,175 to $218,625.

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
