Work you will do:

  • Financial reporting, internal controls, regulatory compliance, risk management, and business and operational process improvement.
  • Work with Federal IC client to identify financial control issues and gaps.
  • Design and implement technical solutions to improve financial management activities.
  • Perform audit readiness supporting remediation of client audit material weaknesses, including performing A-123 assessment of client business processes.
  • Advise our client on technical accounting and internal controls matters.

The team

Our GPS Advisory Accounting and Internal Controls (A&IC) professionals help finance leaders solve complex issues impacting risk, integrity and efficiency. Our team helps clients prepare for financial close, address compliance regulations, improve process and controls around financial reporting, and implement new accounting requirements. Our practice can provide the support organizations need with a comprehensive approach to tackle the most challenging accounting and financial issues that impact risk within an agency environment.

Qualifications

Required:

  • 1+ years' experience in financial reporting and/or financial analysis, to include consolidations and standards.
  • 1+ years' experience reviewing, analyzing, validating, and reconciling financial/accounting information.
  • Knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404 and/or OMB Circular A-123 documentation, Financial Improvement Audit Readiness (FIAR), testing, and reporting requirements.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.

Preferred:

  • Experience with Momentum software.
  • Certifications including CPA, CDFM, CGFM, CFE, CIA, CISA.
  • Governmental accounting experience in the IC.

For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in Washington, DC, Deloitte is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This compensation range is specific to Washington, DC, and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $84,398 to $140,663. You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
