  • Perform accounting reconciliations or financial audits in the financial services industry.
  • Perform detailed analysis of asset and liability data for a financial institution.
  • Work on or support IT projects in the financial services industry.
  • Substantial experience with accounting and general ledger processing in the financial services industry.
  • Knowledge of financial operations and procedures involving entering, modifying and correcting information in a computerized system to assure accuracy.
  • Provide technical experience in data mapping, transformations, profiling, file conversions, analysis, and similar functions.
  • Write queries, develop stored procedures, create views, and create other database objects utilizing Microsoft SQL and/or Oracle PL/SQL.
  • Develop, analyze and advise on improved methods to increase use of automated work procedures.
  • General knowledge of SQL or other data transformation tools used in the financial services industry.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications: Access, Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Knowledge of financial institution applications sufficient to respond to requests for reports and data and to support the reconciliation process.
  • Work effectively with others in a team-oriented setting.
  • Deal effectively and communicate with individuals at all levels.
  • Understand and execute oral and written communications.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited United States college or university (Accounting, Finance, or other Business related field)
  • 6+ years of experience performing accounting reconciliations or financial audits in the financial services industry.
  • 6+ years of experience writing queries, developing stored procedures, creating views, and creating other database objects utilizing Microsoft SQL and/or Oracle PL/SQL.
  • 6+ years of technical experience in data mapping, transformations, profiling, file conversions, analysis, and similar functions.
  • 4+ years of experience performing detailed analysis of asset and liability data for a financial institution.
  • 3+ years working in the financial services industry
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust
  • Ability to travel 10%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.

Preferred:

  • Possess a Public Trust
  • Experience improving government accounting and transaction processes
  • Familiarity with U.S. government financial accounting systems
