Work You'll Do

This Data Engineer:

  • Ensures that technical architecture supports Data Management initiatives and aligns with defined policies, principles, and procedures.
  • Provides guidance and resolves data architectural issues
  • Wrangling and fusing large and disparate data sets, assisting in the deployment of models and algorithms, automating the entire data pipeline, and communicating model results through user-focused data visualizations.
  • Supports robust and repeatable data manipulation, large scale infrastructure for data ingestion, and stunning data visualization for custom client applications.
  • Coordinates and ensures adherence to Data Governance policies.
  • Supports new projects and business changes and ensures adherence to data architecture and technical reference architecture standards.
  • Reviews data architecture/model designs in IT delivery projects for adherence to standards. Assists in the evaluation and alignment of new and emerging technology to support mission/user needs.
  • Supervises technical design and implementation of solution architecture (data layer).
  • Ensures Data Management solutions and data assets are supported by an architecture supporting organization's overall architectural vision.

The GPS AI & Data Engineering offering is responsible for developing advanced analytics products and applying data visualization and statistical programming tools to enterprise data in order to advance and enable the key mission outcomes for our clients. Our team supports all phases of analytic work product development, from the identification of key business questions through data collection and ETL, and from performing analyses and using a wide range of statistical, machine learning, and applied mathematical techniques to delivery insights to decision-makers. Our practitioners give special attention to the interplay between data and the business processes that produce it and the decision-makers that consume insights.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 5+ years of experience in data engineering, data migrations, and/or data pipelining
  • 5+ years of experience with design and implementation of data structures using ETL development
  • 5+ years of experience with data governance and data strategy
  • 5+ years of experience Python or SQL
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future

Preferred:

  • Experience with government consulting or government employment
  • Experience with cloud data architecture
  • Experience with data warehousing tools and/or graph databases
