Deloitte is seeking a Cost Estimation Analyst to join our team, providing critical support in the development and analysis of cost estimates for our DoD clients. This role involves leveraging your expertise to ensure accurate and reliable cost projections that inform strategic decision-making.

Work you'll do

As a Cost Estimation Analyst, you will:

  • Develop, analyze, and validate cost estimates for DoD programs and projects.
  • Utilize cost estimation tools and methodologies to create detailed cost models.
  • Conduct cost-benefit analyses and risk assessments to support program management and acquisition decisions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze data, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of cost estimates.
  • Prepare and present cost estimation reports and briefings to senior leadership and stakeholders.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends, cost estimation techniques, and DoD policies and regulations.
  • Provide expert guidance and recommendations to improve cost estimation processes and methodologies.

The Finance & Enterprise Performance (F&EP) teams advise, implement, and deliver as-a-service solutions to help clients develop strategies and capabilities that support enterprise-wide decision-making, develop operating models to optimize organizational performance, improve finance operations, and create impact within their organizations.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
  • Active Secret security clearance required
  • Ability to travel up to 50%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in cost estimation, financial analysis, or a related role, preferably within the DoD or defense industry.
  • Proficiency in cost estimation tools and software, such as SEER, ACEIT, or similar.
  • Strong understanding of cost estimation methodologies, including parametric, analogy, and bottom-up estimating.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex financial concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
