As a Cloud Native Engineer at Deloitte, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining cloud-native applications and platforms. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure scalable, secure, and efficient cloud solutions that meet our clients' needs.

Responsibilities include:

  • Design, build, and implement custom, scalable cloud-native applications and platforms from the ground up. Identify modules and other plug-and-play resources to build effective solutions.
  • Create, maintain, and evolve the cloud infrastructure for running applications, including production, test, and development environments.
  • Develop strategies for DevOps adoption, cloud operations, automation, tooling, and orchestration. Provide program management support on cloud transformations/migrations.
  • Ensure that cloud solutions adhere to industry-leading security approaches and compliance requirements.
  • Creating scripts and/or templates to automate and/or bootstrap infrastructure provisioning and management tasks.
  • Providing knowledge of container management tools (e.g., Docker, OpenShift), container orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes), infrastructure-as-code (e.g. Ansible, CloudFormation), and have familiarity with modern build experience tools (e.g. Maven) and cloud integration systems (e.g. Jenkins).
  • Understand object-oriented programming (i.e., emphasis in Java) and have familiarity with source control systems (emphasis on Git)

Our Cloud Engineering team focuses on enabling our client's end-to-end journey from On-Premise to Cloud, with opportunities in the areas of: Cloud Strategy, Op Model Transformation, Cloud Development, Cloud Integration & APIs, Cloud Migration, Cloud Infrastructure & Engineering, and Cloud Managed Services. We help our clients see the transformational capabilities of Cloud as an opportunity for business enablement and competitive advantage.

Cloud Engineering supports our clients as they improve agility and resilience, and identifies opportunities to reduce IT operations spend through automation by enabling Cloud. We accelerate our clients towards a technology-driven future, leveraging vendor solutions and Deloitte-developed software products, tools, and accelerators.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain the required clearance for this role.
  • 5+ years of software development or testing experience within an Agile environment.
  • 5+ years' experience using CI/CD tools for automation.
  • 5+ years of knowledge and experience with container management tools (Docker, Openshift), Container orchestration (Kubernetes), Infrastructure-as-code IaaS (Ansible, CloudFormation).
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need
    for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
  • Ability to travel 0-50%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.

The wage range for this role considers a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $ $88,800 to $148,000.

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
