Position Summary

Deloitte Tax LLP seeks a Business Solution Analyst, Lead in Dallas, Texas.

Work You'll Do

Responsible for the design, development, and deployment of technology, tools, and standard processes to support the delivery of Tax services. Deliver comprehensive, value-added, and efficient Tax services to our clients. Consult and execute on a wide range of initiatives involving process and tool development and implementation including training development, engagement management, tool design, and implementation. Work with and create data to meet testing requirements. Partner with application team QA members to create and review test data. Define and analyze test data requirements. Create and review rulesets, test data and enforce corporate standards and guidelines for dealing with client data, including sensitive data. Interact with and serve the needs of tax application team members with regards to test data.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's (or higher) degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Management Information Systems, Engineering or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent).
  • Eighteen months of experience as a Business Solution Analyst, Lead or related occupation gaining experience conducting business analysis for IT system solutions.
  • Experience must include eighteen months of:
    • Communicating and providing standard processes to internal tax teams and leadership and collaborating with business stakeholders, technical teams, and QA teams to ensure successful communication of requirements and dependencies;
    • Providing business analysis in the areas of elicitation, requirements analysis, business process improvement, gap analysis, functional decomposition and design, data modeling, use cases and rapid prototyping;
    • Utilizing Microsoft software, including Visio, Azure, Word, Excel, and SharePoint, and corporate systems, including UI components, database connectivity, application logic, servers, and web based applications, for requirement and systems analysis;
    • Providing business process analysis, requirements, and design, and working with Agile (Scrum) Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) framework including user stories;
    • Utilizing analytical and project management techniques to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and functional and nonfunctional requirements;
    • Performing platform performance improvements through the implementation of strategic partitioning, sorting and distributing techniques and optimizing SQL queries through use of historical sources to achieve near real-time data availability;
    • Collaborating with application subject matter experts (SMEs), project teams, and project managers to understand data models and relationships;
    • Creating high level and low level business flow diagrams to illustrate process steps and interdependencies relating to specific business concepts for technology teams;
    • Creating and maintaining traceability matrix to map business requirements to system implemented features and test cases; and
    • Facilitating requirement, review, planning, and brainstorming sessions to ensure that sprint deliverables are planned efficiently and meet user expectations.
