Position Summary: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Application Administrator to join our dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing and supporting applications within an enterprise data center environment. This role involves ensuring the optimal performance, availability, and security of enterprise applications, as well as providing technical support and troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Application Management:

    • Install, configure, and maintain enterprise applications.
    • Monitor application performance and ensure high availability and reliability.
    • Perform regular updates, patches, and upgrades to applications.
    • Manage application licenses and ensure compliance with vendor agreements.
  2. Data Center Operations:

    • Collaborate with data center operations teams to ensure seamless integration of applications with data center infrastructure.
    • Monitor and manage application servers, databases, and other related components.
    • Implement and maintain disaster recovery plans for critical applications.
  3. Technical Support:

    • Provide technical support to end-users and resolve application-related issues.
    • Troubleshoot and diagnose application problems, working with vendors as necessary.
    • Develop and maintain documentation for application configurations, processes, and procedures.
  4. Security and Compliance:

    • Implement and enforce security best practices for applications.
    • Conduct regular security assessments and vulnerability scans.
    • Ensure applications comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  5. Performance Optimization:

    • Analyze application performance metrics and identify areas for improvement.
    • Optimize application configurations for better performance and efficiency.
    • Work with development teams to implement performance enhancements.
  6. Collaboration and Communication:

    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including network, storage, and database administrators.
    • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, providing updates on application status and performance.
    • Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours support as needed.

Our core capabilities include: IT Operations Delivery & Management, Customer Experience Enhancement, Operations Transformation, transportation modernization, and Emerging Technology platforms such as drones and 5G networks.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or in related respective area (i.e. accounting, human resources, logistics, etc), or other unrelated discipline accompanied with 15 hours of related course study
  • 9 years of progressive experience in computer programming and analysis in broad based IT settings, including contemporary computer hardware and programming languages.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
  • Travel up to 10%
